i wear several different pairs of shoes, but one pair in particular really grabs my socks and pulls my socks into my shoes.

i'm referring to the adidas tour metal 2. i LOVE these shoes, but i can't wear them with short socks because they pull the sock down into my shoe! (so i wear them with long socks and pants or no socks at all).

i've tried at least 5 different kinds of socks (so it's NOT the socks: tabs, no tabs, thin, thick, etc.). i think it's the material on the inside of the shoe...

any suggestions?????

yeah, every pair of shoes I have do that!!! When my socks are washed AND dried before wear they do it less. Also, if I tighten the top portion of my shoes (where they're tied at) it helps prevent it.

My powerbands and tour 360s do it, never really gave much thought to it just pull them up and tighten my shoes a little more, but now that you mention it maybe adidas is using something on the inside of there shoe that is cause the material to catch on each other... but i do have a solution for you....

my other types of shoes are Nike and Footjoy classics and neither one of those give me a problem...

but the Adidas drive me nuts...and i would stop wearing them all together, but they're good looking shoes and they're very comfortable!!

All my adidas do that, poor design! I switched to low cut socks with thicker heel paddings.

I think it's a shoe fitment issue -- but I don't know what kind of fitment does it. It happens with my JL Classics, but not with my other shoes. It's kind of annoying, but I've also found that it's less annoying if I just let 'em slide down (and don't try to keep pulling them up).

There's a product available (at least in Canada) called It Stays. It's a roll-on adhesive that's used to help hold up the compression stockings and socks that are worn by people with poor circulation in the legs. It's rolled onto the skin ond the sock sticks to it. You might find it helps with your problem too. Should be able to find it (or a similar product) at a drugstore, or a compression therapy clinic, someplace that deals in compression stockings.

Happens to me as well, but with FJ's, not Addy's. Yeah super annoying, not sure what does it but it occurs more with older socks than newer...

I have six pair of Hi Tec and Foot Joy golf shoes and this bugs me too. Doesn't matter what kind of low cut sock I wear. Found that the Adidas have a little more elastic, but, really tighten up the top laces and double-knot helps.
