GolfWRX is live from the 2018 AT&T Byron Nelson at its new home, Trinity Forest Golf Club (par 71; 7,380 yards) that opened in 2016.

The field this week is headlined by Jordan Spieth (currently No. 3 in the Official World Golf Rankings), Hideki Matsuyama (No. 9) and Sergio Garcia (No. 14). Other notables in the field include David Duval, Bill Haas, Billy Horschel, Matt Kuchar, Adam Scott, Brandt Snedeker and Jimmy Walker.

Last year, Horschel beat Jason Day on the first playoff hole, ending Horschel's winless drought that lasted over 2 years.

I am looking forward to this event now that it will be played at this course. Really curious to see how the players navigate around it.
We're not here for a long time,
just a good time.

The course is just fantastic.  Easily one of the best the players will see all year.
Really looking forward to seeing it on TV this week.

Whats with Ben Silvermans bag with the persimmon wood? Looks like he also has an old iron or wedge too, lower right hand part of the pic. Anybody know who and why?

He practice swings left handed to make sure both sides of his body stay flexible, it's a balance thing.  There's a number of other players who do the same thing.

Awesome to see DJ Trahans Bag up close again ...  Love those  Staff Blades .....  Had the pleasure of seeing the Prototype set of these he played when first went to wilson  .....Only a couple sets ( like 2) of those made.. Ive had the pleasure of hitting the other set and they are just perfect to the eye and ear...   Any idea what putter he was using Greg ?  Is that a Spyder headcover peeking around ?

and is that a person hiding back there ?

Yes Dana was out there working with Eric Axley and CHIII. I'm sure he was working with others as well.

Ha, Trahan dusting off the sticks he used to win his last tournament. I remember his switch to Titleist from Wilson, he said he wanted to play clubs he was more familiar with and that he played growing up. Now he wants to game his 10 year old Wilsonís? Hmmmmm

Those headcovers are Stitch covers...bag looks like a Sun Mountain, but I can't tell for sure.

Wow.  That is one of the ugliest, faux links courses I've ever seen on TV.  It looks like someone tried to dress up a muni and definitely played that way today.  I sure hope it looks better in person because it just looks awful on TV.

The course is amazing.  Easily top 50 USA IMO or higher.  Unlike most "faux links" it actually plays like a links course which is amazing in a warm weather climate like Dallas.  You saw the difference in scoring today with the wind up.  I cannot say enough good things about the course as someone who has actually played it a number of times.
