We’re going Saturday and haven’t seen the course in person yet, so we’re excited. We did buy a pavilion package to get some shade for a bit.

Now see there I get the full humor in this post. I grew up playing in South Dallas. Stevens Park, Oak Cliff CC, and wait for it....Sleepy Hollow Country Club. Any old schoolers remember where that place was at??? Thats right. it was next door to this new facility.   I will be there bright and early Thursday morning !!!

Steve Williams has come out of retirement to loop for Baddeley this week. Must be a tad sadistic or mahbe trying to lose some weight picking a  tournamnet where its gunna be stinking hot.

The course sounds awesome. Coore and Crenshaw are absolutely the best modern designers and by a wide margin. What a refreshing change.

I was lucky to have played here.  this course is AWESOME!  Cannot wait to see the pros play it!

Will need to move it to earlier in the year because this will cause heat strokes for the boozed up patrons.

That's fine, we'll be subjected to less bababooeys and mashed potatoes.

Looking forward to seeing how this course plays, it's a refreshing change.

And who schedules a PGA tournament on a brand new course?  That grass looks sketchy, to say the least.

The grass looks bad because of the unnaturally cool spring we have had so far in Dallas.

I know my Fort Worth bermuda yard hasn't liked it.  Can you say, 'weeds'?

This course is awesome. I played it on a trip to Dallas recently, along with Old American, which is also great, and was unfortunately mostly rained out for the LPGA. I'm looking forward to watching.

I am thinking/hoping the long hitters struggle in this course and we see the shorter shotmakers on the leaderboard. Don’t know much about this course but the rough looks nasty in places.

From what I've heard/read its all about angles on this course. Placing your tee shot in the right location to take advantage of the contours on the green for your approach will be critical.
We're not here for a long time,
just a good time.

Have you looked at any photos/videos from this week?  The grass looks anything but sketchy at Trinity Forest.  You may want to check out the twitter feed of @kaseykauff for plenty of pics each day.

Did you get this from looking at pictures? there are so many places that you can leave your approach shot where par is almost impossible.

It looks like an interesting and challenging course, but only if it plays very firm and running.  If it is soft, with receptive greens, it will not be very interesting.

Your Monday Qualifiers from Gentle Creek CC. Another four man playoff for the final spot. Seems to be the norm these days.

1) Ryan Baca,  Sugar Land, TX - 65
2) TJ Vogel, Hollywood, FL - 66
3) Steven Ihm, Plano, TX - 67
3) Tom Whitney, Little Elm, TX - 67

The field wasnt chock full of known players. Although Ted Purdy and Nick Flanagan were trying to get through.

I dont know much about the players other than Vogel. Ihm I Know was a product of Iowa. He may be from there. Whitney is a USAFA grad and research shows he finished his service in 2014. I realized I remembered him playing in Vegas last year, and through a qualifier it seems.

Ryan Baca I confess I have never heard of before today.

Vogel continues his historic run with his 5th Monday Q entrance. Hope he can make the cut and keep racking up equivalent points to get status for next year. The kid is going to win a tournament, and soon.

Best of luck to the qualifiers! Go get em.

Baca was a hell of a player back in high school and then played at Baylor.  Hes an awesome dude and actually Monday qualified for the Houston Open last month as well.

Trinity is pure AF, when we played it April 2017 the greens were hard as a rock it sounded like hard wood when balls hit them. Definitely a different course I think pros are either gonna love it or hate and I'd give Kelly Kraft a good shot this week

The course seems like a streamsong Black approach. Pretty stoked to see links like courses on the regular tour become a norm.

I'm really interested to see how the course plays.

They played the Texas State Open at Trinity Forest last August and it seemed to play fairly easy as the winner shot 18 under. But I have no idea of how it played then compared to now. They apparently are not playing it as fast and firm as it could play.

This course is awesome. I played it on a trip to Dallas recently, along with Old American, which is also great, and was unfortunately mostly rained out for the LPGA. I'm looking forward to watching.

What were the rates like?

Taylormade Rocketballz 3w w/ Graphite Design Tour AD s
TaylorMade RBZ TP 18.5* Stock

Very boring course. There is only trouble on 1 hole #9 left
Did you get this from looking at pictures? there are so many places that you can leave your approach shot where par is almost impossible.

Played it. I won't be back. It cost more to play there than just about any of the bucket list courses you can think of.
