I needing a new rangefinder. I like the pro x2 or the new Bushnell Hybrid and I can’t decide between the two. Does anybody have any comparisons of the two? Or reviews of the new hybrid.

I have the Hybrid rangefinder and have found the GPS yardages to be unreliable.  When the laser says the flag is 125 yards and in the middle of the green and the GPS says the back of the green is 118 yards something is off.  This happened consistently throughout my four rounds with the Hybrid in tow. I’m sending it back and having it replaced with the Pro X2.

I wonder why the GPS is off.  I just ordered the new Hybrid, so we will see.

I had the same problem with a Garmin gps watch that I bought for my wife.  The yardages on several holes at our home course were off by 10 to 20 yards.  I returned the unit twice and the replacements showed exactly the same results.  As it turns out, the problem was errors in the mapping software, which was later corrected and updated.  Bushnell uses a different supplier for golf course maps and did not have any such issue at our home course.

I think it all comes down to mapping of the course. Sky Caddie maps by foot every course to ensure perfect accuracy. I’m not sure what Bushnell relies on for mapping however it did not work for me as I had hoped i’m not sure what Bush Nell relies on however it did not work for me as I had hoped to.

I've been using the Bushnell Hybrid for past month or so and have not had any yardage discrepancies or issues between laser and GPS. I've also played a few rounds with a buddy that has an X2 and we've tagged the same distances a few times. So far so great with the Hybrid.

I'm pretty sure Bushness uses iGolf.  I used to have a Neo X and I didn't have any issues with it.  I'll be taking mine to the course tomorrow.

Bushnell going back... not cool when the pin is closer than the front of the green.

Same issue here with the hybrid. Can shoot the pin 3 different times and get 3 different numbers. Also get the pin playing 3 yards closer than the front of the green. It’s getting returned this week.

Having no issues with the hybrid - solid device - laser excellent and having the key gps # there a huge benefit - down to 1 device is very nice
i do wonder how the garmin x80 is going to affect it though.....

With the Pro X2 in the bag I have regained my trust in laser yardages. The Hybrid’s wacky disagreeing numbers confused me. Now, I just trust the laser measured yardage.  If I’m on an unfamiliar golf course I can use the Bushnell app to view the hole layout. Not ideal for sure however it’s better than being stuck not knowing what the hole looks like and/or playing to goofy yardages.

I've been using the old version of the Bushnell Hybrid for a few years and have found it to be accurate using both the laser and the GPS.  I just purchased the new 2018 model, but have yet to receive it.  I sure hope it works as well as my old one, plus the new one says it gives yardages to hazards.  I'll update once I've used it a few times.
