is anchoring a longish  putter on your forearm different from anchoring a broom putter on the sternum?
Either ban all anchoring or don't.

Is anchoring a putter against your forearm any different from anchoring it against your palms and fingers?

While I agree it isnít same as anchoring to chest or belly.  It has to be different than a conventional stroke or else nobody would use it.

Anchors do not make good putters. Propellers on the other hand are excellent for putting.

It's not the same but I think it should be made illegal.

Just grip the putter with your hands and be done with it.

Its true. I mean that's why it was banned in the first place.

No one cared about anchored putters until something like 3-4 majors in a two year span were won by guys using them, than they were the worst thing ever.

I remember posting, I think it was after Bradley won in Atlanta, that if more guys won they'd get banned. I don't remember the timeline but I think Adam Scott and someone else won the following year and then ban. Maybe it was Webb Simpson and Ernie Els...can't recall

But the ban was the definition of knee jerk

Doesnít seem to phase the USGA guys much with Langer winning Seniors week and week out when he is clearly anchoring.

I feel like people want some thing to complain about here. He has had his method examined. The ruling bodies determined his stroke was not anchored according to the rules and he was fine. Unless they decide to change the rules again, move on!

jeez, you anchor'ers should just join the role back the ball crowd.

You know what I mean. Let your hands be the last thing that touch the grip. Touch the grip with nothing but your hands.

Running it up the forearm is another way to try to eliminate the hands. It's a milder version of anchoring.
