Anyone played the courses at St James Plantation in Southport, NC?

Thoughts?

I’ve played them all and been playing them for the past 20 years, when the Founders was called The Gauntlet. I still play the courses occasionally - played the Members in February actually.

Their 4 courses are all different and present their own unique challenges. I’d be happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

If I were visiting, I’d play the Founders and the Reserve first. Members is very friendly and straightforward. The Players is always fun as well, but a similar design as the Members.

^ thanks. I’ve been told Founders and Members suffered winter kill on some greens. Trying to play Reserve when we are down for real estate tour in June.

St James courses are private now.

Reserve still has bent greens, I think, so it would not likely have winter kill.
