Anyone else have issues wearing one brand hat and a different brand shirt etc?  I'm a NIke guy but have a member/guest outing and friend bought use matching Adidas outfits.  I know I have issues but didn't want to be alone...haha.

I only wear Nike, if nothing but the sheer fact that I live 10 minutes from a clearance store and I can assemble like 6 full outfits for less than $100 during the big sales.

But it fits me well in the 'standard fit', rarely do brands fit my schmedium size very well.

I have a hard time mixing Nike and Addidas.  Just those two. Stupid I know. But then, I'm pretty stupid.

I think matching brands is a cleaner look, but not having a matching hat/shirt/shorts/pants isn't going to keep me from wearing whatever I feel like. So, as much as I like being able to have all one brand on, I'll wear whatever I feel like, even if it ends up being a multi-branded outfit.

I wonder if the desire to match brands is correlated at all with when people began playing golf.

When I started playing there was no concept of wearing all one brand and even if you did there wouldn't have been enough visible logos to tell. I certainly can't remember anyone concerned about brands other than perhaps what sort of polo they had on. I'm not even sure I could have put together pants + shirt + hat + shoes from one brand.

As a result, it's not something I've ever thought twice about.

I think it would bug me a little, but I've solved this by not wearing hats with OEM logos. I have a few plain bucket hats that have no logos on them, I have a visor from a company that doesn't make golf equipment, I've got a few performance material hats from brands that are not golf-specific that I like. The only OEMish hats I am wearing any more are a handful of Cameron visors that I dig.

I've made a deliberate effort to change my golf style this year and avoid big logos or brand names on my hats and clothes. That's just what I'm digging lately, though.

I can't physically bring myself to wear my Nike Tech Fleece joggers with my Ultraboosts or Yeezy's so I appreciate your dilemma.....it's not a major deal  if it's just the shoes that don't match.

The bigger question is why is another adult male dressing you?  Uniform's are fine if you make the Ryder Cup, otherwise the rest of us think you look silly.

I'm exactly the opposite.  If there's no logo, I don't really care, but if pants / shorts, shirt and hat all have logos, I'll go out of my way to avoid them all being the same brand.  I think everything the same logo / brand comes off as if the person is a wanna be sponsored athlete.

I could care less if they are matching brands, but will make sure they match color wise. I could wear five different brands at once if I wanted to. Under Armor hat, Nike shirt, Adidas shorts, Footjoy glove, and Ecco shoes.

I don't care about brands matching.  As long as the colors match somewhat and its clean, I'll wear it.  For instance, I have in my golf bag for today UA pants and shirt, Nike belt, UA socks, and Nike shoes.  My golf clothing consists of UA, Nike, and Adidas, with a couple of Puma pieces.

I am a little OCD when it comes to clothing. I had issues wearing Nike with Adidas or UA and Puma , however my wife has really done a nice job showing me how to pair colors and textures so that brand makes little difference. I still wont wear a Nike shirt or hat with Adidas shoes, but I will mix it up with shirts/pant/shorts sweaters..etc. I also don't like to be overly matched like a all Travis Mathew set up with Hat Shirt and Shorts. I'm not into the poster boy look either.

I wear non-shoe brand clothing so I can wear whatever shoes I want. I also lump UA in with the non-shoe brands because nobody gives a dam about their shoes anyways lol, but usually RLX, Boss, Bonobos, etc. I will wear my Nike solar sleeves with adidas shoes tho cuz why burn when I don’t have to? Plus my wife will give me crap about it.

I'm always more concerned about fit & style matching instead of brand matching.  In fact, most rounds I am wearing at least 2 (more likely 3) different brands between hat, shirt, shorts/pants/belt, and shoes.

The only thing I usually always try to match brands is pants/shorts & belt for color (everyone's navy & grey is slightly different).

Maybe it has to do with age (I'm 39, been in the golf business since a little before 16 years old), but I've never understood this obsession some people have with matching all the brands/labels of their apparel on the course.  Very few people do this (brand matching) in any other hobby/sport in their lives, and I personally don't get why some just HAVE to do it with golf apparel.  Even as a person in the business (general manager), I'm currently wearing (at work) Ecco shoes, Ralph Lauren socks, Under Armour performance pants, FootJoy shirt, and Callaway cap.   I go with what brand (more specifically, the style or model) works best/is most comfortable/coolest/warmest/etc for that particular category of apparel as opposed to it matching the brand of anything else.

So I can firmly say that I don't care what brands/labels I wear together/mis-matched.  Once it's made it to my closest, it's been determined to be the best for whatever I was looking for when I bought it, therefore wearing it with anything else (as long as it matches style/color wise) is fair game.

I can also add that, in my experience in the business selling/retailing shoes and apparel, that the vast majority of golfers do not match brands.  Most buy based on comfort and/or just being the best (cheapest) price on whatever they are looking for at the time.

I'm typing this wearing a UA hat, Oakley shirt, Greg Norman shorts, and Puma shoes, so I have not problem mixing brands.  I care much more about whether things match and/or compliment in terms of color/style/material than the brands.  My bag might be a completely different story, but it's not nearly as intentional as it looks.

I go out of my way to avoid full brand matching outfits, though thanks to Burlington/tj maxx I have way too much Nike stuff so it can be difficult.  I'd say the same thing about clubs too, I wouldn't want to have a full bag (and bag) from one OEM.

I either wear 1 brand, usually Nike, or go all out to mix and match like Adidas shoes, UA socks, Nike shorts and belt, Callaway polo and a Taylormade hat. If I mix and match it still needs to be colour coordinated.

I'm also one of those guys that can't mix Adidas trainers with Nike tracksuits and vice versa. Especially if they are Yeezys or Jordans!

I prefer not to look like a billboard. The only shirt with a brand logo I've bought recently was a Travis Mathew and they're subtle. I usually go with shirts with my own club logo or from others I've visited.

I would probably care more about this if I owned a bunch of branded gear. Most everything I own has no logo, so no problem!

I am much more anal about fit and quality than brands matching.
