I find it funny the mods let Patrick Reed get bashed for weeks but wont let Lucas Glovers wife (who actually got arrested for something) get trashed for an hour. Locking every thread about it. Haha

Huge double standard with absolutely no explanation from Mods. Tiger, Reed, Allenby, Bubba, Kegan Bradley issue thread's go on and on. They've now shut down at least 3 Glover threads. The selective censorship is getting concerning. Maybe they should explain why this one is different when they abruptly close the Glover threads.

If you don't see me posting tomorrow then you know They Came For Me.

Neither was Reed's family in GA or Reed's wife.  Both received their fair share of criticism in earlier threads.

I have not read everything here but maybe the mods let "The Players Championship" thread become the place to vent and discuss Glover's wife??  Would seem highly ridiculous that it doesn't have its own thread but I don't run the show here.  It is weird, I thought the previous threads were way more respectful than they could have been.... and from the sounds of it, she deserves little to no respect for her behavior.

Yes, Webb shot the best score and won, but Woods showed that he is back and he is not going away.  Webb's figurative "double middle finger" to the USGA and PGA for the anchoring rule change overshadowed the win's true meaning.   Like it or not, Tiger Woods was the story of the 2018 Players.  He received more coverage than the leaders.
Heck, Tiger always gets more coverage than the leaders! Tell us something we don't already know.

Well he's the best golfer of all time soooooo

For some people “of all time” apparently means “in my lifetime”. He’s the greatest ever if you can’t remember anything prior to 1980.
Everything has its drawbacks, as the man said when his mother-in-law died, and they came down upon him for the funeral expenses.

Thats the joke.

For me, I wasnt exposed to golf until ~2007 and the only person I knew was Tiger - which says a lot about his popularity and coverage even at that time.

Outside of gators football and tiger woods I didn’t have much of a sports life 20 years ago.

Didn’t know what was more fun to watch. Steve spurrier running the score up on Georgia or Tennessee or tiger woods bombing par5 in two.  Those were definitely the days. When bama suck and tiger winning majors. So please excuse me for my excitement of the return of the big cat since gators football kind of suck this decade.

Let's be honest here.  Mrs. Glover has the crazy eyes something fierce.

I eventually gave them up, but as a 15-25 year old I was a true connoisseur of crazy-eyed women.  My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Glover.

The 911 call was released. Lucas is one calm, cool headed guy. He describes himself to the 911 operator as the "sane one" and is very polite and calm. Poor guys got himself a hot mess with the women in his life.

listen here bud, I hate everyone in the SEC and when bama and georgia or bama and auburn played on the national championship, I prayed to the GOLF GAWDS and GATOR GAWDS and buddha that both team would some how lose or tied because crowning one is a spit in my face.  The SEC bandwagon is a millenial thing which I want no part of.  Nothing makes my blood boil more than a gator fan cheering on Georgia or Tennessee.  USC can suck it.  Bama can suck it.  And Free Shoe University can suck it.

And as far as UCF and their self proclaimed championship banner, yeah they can go suck it as well.  They're amateurs and they know it.  We have 100 years of legacy on our side.

I think he was referring to Glover's wife? But that statement could also apply to UF fans...so there's that.

You could always be a UCF fan for now....at least it's not FSU or USF, and then you can go back to being a high and mighty SEC P5 fan when UF is good again in 2025

listen here bud, I hate everyone in the SEC and when bama and georgia or bama and auburn played on the national championship, I prayed to the GOLF GAWDS and GATOR GAWDS and buddha that both team would some how lose or tied because crowning one is a spit in my face.

For some people “of all time” apparently means “in my lifetime”. He’s the greatest ever if you can’t remember anything prior to 1980.
Just depends on your definition. Bo Jackson is the best running back I've ever seen play. Career numbers don't bear it out though. Tiger is the best golfer I've ever seen. And yeah, unfortunately I watched Jack in his prime going back to the late '60's. I'm not going to get into the whole era and whatnot thing again but I have no issue at this point calling Jack the greatest champion and Tiger the best player ever.

It's not defining with ***'s. It is two different things.  You knew what I meant though. If to me Bo is the best running back I have seen most folks might have another favorite but do not just jump to Emmitt Smith just because he has the highest career totals.  Same thing in golf.  I watched most of Jack's career.  IMO Tiger was the better player even though Jack has some better numbers more majors.

Tiger was such a prodigy he was granted the right to name his defining goal. He made it clear that from childhood he set out to beat Jack Nicklaus' majors records and surpass BY TIGER'S OWN RECKONING the greatest player ever.

Everyone accepted that as an admirable goal and after a few years you were shouted down as a "hater" or complete idiot if you expressed the slightest doubt that Tiger would blast through that 18 majors count by the time he was in his early 30's and end up with 20, 25 or more before he was done.

So forgive us if we don't now retroactively say, "Yeah, but who says he has to win 19 majors to be the G.O.A.T.". Tiger himself said it, we all agreed, no backsies now just because he wrecked his body a decade sooner than anyone apparently expected.
Everything has its drawbacks, as the man said when his mother-in-law died, and they came down upon him for the funeral expenses.

They have workarounds for counterpoints like this. They even have workarounds for their workarounds should they become necessary.
