There is no way you can honestly say he is NOT intending to anchor his putter now.   The putter does NOT have to be against your body.  If your hand or arm holding the putter are anchored against your body, the putter is anchored.

How can you honestly say he's holding his hand against his body?

How can you say he isn't?

I can't say for sure one way or the other but it looks like anchoring to me.  Maybe there is at most 1/4 inch between his shirt and his chest.  Maybe not.  Maybe there is when he starts the stroke then he anchors as he turns. It would be quite difficult to ensure there is no anchoring during the stroke when his hand is that close.

Quite a few golfers wear tight shirts.

So you've gone from he's clearly anchoring to "how can you say he's not"?

World doesn't work that way, dude.  If you're gonna accuse someone of cheating, you better have verifiable proof.

This argument you just made is a reason why.  Continual goal post moving.

He is anchoring.  Obviously, we are expressing OPINIONS since none of us are there with a measure to see what space is between his hand and his skin.  NONE of us can say for sure one way or the other.

The goalpost hasn't changed, dude.

I think after decades of beating up the golf balls, the golf balls bite back.
Almost certain he has looming injury from some parts of his body as it'll magnified through his golf game with change of physical condition.
Can't say much about his putting, he needs to see a specialist for his eyes.  Els also went through this before his last PGA win.

again, i would say that regardless of what our opinion is, he would have certainly gotten his current technique cleared. Whether he is exploiting a loop hole or not remains to be seen. once he starts winning it will be scrutinized more closely. until then, what does it matter? he is not breaking any rules or else he would not be doing it.

He can't be going too bad with the flatstick this year, he's ranked higher in SG putting than Jordan Spieth.

In a GD article a year ago he said he swings his arms as fast as he can. At Genesis he was hitting it wayward and comments were is is clearing hips as fast as he can. He is trying to change I guess..putting is always bad as others have said.

He just doesn't play much. That routine of barely practicing, playing 16 times a year and spending the rest of your time making babies and surfing can only last for so long before he realizes that is way more fun.

Fixed. :D

Haha. I'm not saying we can blame the guy for his choices. Certainly not a bad life. It's just some guys get some wins, get the major then coast for awhile. Call it wasted talent but balance in life is the key to overall happiness.

I think the links feel of Trinity Forest and return to a bit of form last week will bode well for Adam at the Byron Nelson. Would not be surprised if he contends and wins

His swing looks as pure as ever.  Now that he's back to the long putter, he will probably start winning tournaments again.

I'm a huge golf-swing junkie, so Adam Scott has been one of my favorite players to watch.  I followed him some at every stop on the Florida swing, including the Players.  He was clearly working on his swing at The Honda, Valspar, and Bay Hill -- definitely looked like George Gankas stuff -- but he looked to be back to his old swing at The Players.  Putting has been his biggest problem when I've watched him, but his ballstriking definitely seemed better at the Players.

Not that great today. Again it seems to be putting.

It's nice to see him improving and getting some coverage. You can't get sick of watching him, well maybe his putting but they should show every one of his tee shots no matter what position he is in.

What he needs to do is this:

take his putter, spend a few moments reading the break and firmness, address the ball, close his eyes and visualise the ball going in, open his eyes, take a few deep breaths, line the putt up, aim somewhere else, and putt the ball.

I saw his second round this week on PGA Tour Live, his swing looks like it's back to normal. What was he thinking trying to change it?

I never though I would be reading about Scott playing in a qualifier to get into a major. Sounds like he is playing well though.
