Hi all - looking for some suggestions for fairway wood options...still on the hunt for the holy grail head. I'm looking for something that has a larger head and a deeper face, with a flat lie angle and neutral/open face angle. I'm thinking something right around 160-170 CC is what i'm looking for.

I use a 3w primarily as a tee club, and I don't mind using a larger head off the fairway.

Here is what I am thinking so far:
- Callaway 3deep series
- Taylormade m2 tour + M2 deep face tour issue (head might be a touch small)
- Rocketballz Tour (original, not stage 2)
- Ping Stretch (not sure how deep the face on these are)
- Original Ping Rapture / 2014 reissue (head might be too big on these)

Is there anything else that folks have had a good experience with? I don't mind something older

Look forward to seeing the suggestions!

Check out Bridgestone j15’s.  Head size is around 160-165cc if I’m not mistaken.  Sits very neutral with neutral center of gravity.  Can be had for a cheap too.  Feels great as well and has a more muted sound on impact.  Anyway, good luck with the search.  Keep us posted on what you find.

Cleveland Classic fairways are modestly sized and have a deep face. Cheap and great!

Tried a bunch and settled on the Titleist 917 F2. Checks every box. Larger profile (179cc), flat lie, good distance, not hard to hit off the deck. Can use the weights to adjust the ball flight without adjusting the adapter.

Pretty hard to exclude Titleist. I know it's everyone's favorite brand to hate, but the 3w over last few yrs is kinda money.

Titleist 915D3 9.5*, Diamana S+ Blue 60, R
Titleist 915F 15* Diamana S+ Blue 70, R
Titleist 915Hd 20.5* set to 19.75*, Diamana S+ Blue 70, S, -1/2"
Titleist 716 AP1 4-W52, Kuro Kage Tini 65, S

I think Titleist F2 is probably what youíre looking for. Can really dial it in to meet your needs. Can adjust the lie angle and loft to tweak ballflight. Then they have some great stock shaft options to meet your needs as well. I have a D+ in my F2 and it is a bomber off the tee and although itís a larger head it is still easy to launch off the ground.

I am currently using a G400 Stretch and like it a lot! It's kind of loud which is a little annoying but I can live with it.

Before that I had the LTD Pro, which was much better sounding and also a good club, but not as predictable as the Stretch. The stretch is just so straight for me. I did however go with a heavier and different kind of shaft in it (HZRDUS Yellow 75), which I think suits me better.

hot melt the g400 and lead tape. you can definitely dull it out.

Thanks, but I like the current weight, don't want to tinker with that. I may look into cotton balling it tough. I've read here of people doing it (with other clubs) but never tried it myself.

Carried a 910F for a long time. Pretty solid club. Switched to the original RBZ 14 - a real bomber.
Also have a 13+ SasQuatch: that could be an all time favorite but never ended in the bag.
Last year I bought an R15 3W to match my driver. Last week I added the R15 5W.

I play the Ping Rapture 3 Wood.  Find it great from the tee and the fairway even tight lies. Very square head that is very hot and low spin.  I can hit it high, low, fade or draw.  Doubt it will ever leave the bag.  Only way it would is if I dropped the 5 wood and needed a single FW.

Hope that helps.

Cleveland Mashie 5 Wood Miyazaki C. Kua  Stiff
Ping Karsten Hybrid 4 stock Stiff
Ping G Max 5-U AWT 2.0 Stiff (so frigg'n easy to hit)!
Ping Eye 2+ SW 53 Ping Eye 2+ LW 58 (love that grind)

The CB5 has a tendency of spinning a touch too much on misshits.
