Played eye 2's for the longest. Switched to forged 5-6 years ago. Love the feel, hated the wear and tear from the sand turf and range rocks.

Anyway I still wanted to treat myself to a "new" set and not use the set I played for over a decade. Picked these up on the bay. This finish/retumbled/new paint fill has me perplexed. I think they look awesome.

Wish Ping would make the Eye 2s again with modern tech./grooves. Was a fan of the Zing2s too.

Nice irons.  I wish I still had a set but now I would need a regular flex steel shaft!  :)

They kinda do. i200s are very similar in design and cavity with all the modern touches.

I just got an i200 3 iron to replace my Eye2 2 iron ... much, much different. Offset, swingweight, feel ... everything is different. Nothing feels like an Eye2.

It'd be great if they'd do the i200s in a tumble or guyson finish.  Make 'em bulletproof...

Need those ZZ Lite shafts.  LOL.  There's really no need to make NEW Eye 2s because the originals will outlive all of us.

But the cavity shape of the i200 is similar to the Eye 2s.  I'm an Eye 2 fan.

Are the ZZ lite shafts still available in new clubs[I agree that is a very good shaft]. For the guy that needs reg. flex shafts you could buy some ping cs reg. pulls on ebay for not to much and re shaft your eye 2's.

Maybe I'll toss the eye 2's with DG R300 in the bag for today's round.  Lob wedge is always in the bag!

Oh, I forgot to add will be playing K3 balls.

Eye 2s have a special place in my heart.   Not to toot my own horn but as a junior those clubs helped me win a LOT.

Moved on to forged blades but really I feel now that 40 is come and gone, maybe I should've just stuck with them.

The ZZ Lite shaft is epic on its own merits.   Nothing really close to it before or since.    I went the S300 route in my main set.    Was hitting 5 irons 222 using Precept EV Extra Spins in 1994-5.

Currently have a homologated becu set 3-PW with those crazy titanium shafts.   There are moments when I feel like just selling everything and going back to them full time.

Nice pickup!!!  I play Eye 2s.  I keep coming back after trying out new stuff as well and this year am not even hitting another set of irons.  All the new tech in irons seems to be focused on how to find a way to be able to hit your irons further and I don't mind having to take an extra number on the bottom of my club compared to my partners.

recently did the same. Went from forged Titlesit to Eye 2s with ZZ lites. I love them. Will add pics of paintfill when I get home.

The only thing Eye2's might need is a bit of bounce in the long and mid irons.  They're negative in the long irons and 0* at the 5i IIRC.

I suppose grooves could be made legal, for those who are interested in that. <shrug>
