Headed to visit a friend in early July and planning on golfing at least 4 rounds. Looking at courses below but would appreciate any advice on other great courses.
1. Butterfield
2. Red Hawk (New Mexico)
3. Painted Dunes
4. El Paso CC (he's a member)

Thanks!

Following this. Going there in a couple weeks. Playing butterfield, red hawk, Coronado, and one other course. Not sure which though.

Never played Butterfield, but looked it over once.  Seemed very nice.  Red Hawk in Cruces is outstanding.  NMSU course in Cruces always got good reviews as well.  Certainly less costly too.

All of those courses are pretty nice. Butterfield I thought was a lot of fun. Red Hawk is long and even longer if it's windy. Just remembering having to hit so many 4-6 irons into greens. I'm not a big hitter but can poke it out to 270+ regularly and red hawk was long. Might ask your friend if his pro can get you on to Picacho Hills CC in Las Cruces. It has some elevation changes to it which is not the norm for out there. Lot of fun to play.

I played Butterfield on a trip from Houston back home to Nevada, great well kept track.
