Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has ordered shoes from the US lately and had them shipped across the border into Canada? I did 3 years ago and had to pay a $40 import charge of some sort and I do not want to have to do that again. Any helpful tips to give a seller so that I can avoid some of those charges? Please share your recent experience... I don't want to get burned from extra fees

mark as gift and mark value down is all the seller can do....if they're willing. Just got some JL Tours this week, he marked them at 29.99 and as a gift...no duty!
The big thing is to mark value down and the must is ship it USPS or postal service, NOT UPS, FEDEX or PUROLATOR. They have their own brokerage fees and stuff and i have just never had any troubles with duty for USPS. Handier to pick up too.
