Normally plays Wells Fargo as well.  I imagine those three before US Open, US Open, National, British Open,

Can't this year.

Edit:  was thinking it was WGC, but not, so maybe he's in?

So yes, add that one.

He committed to the National for the PR, U.S. Open commitment not a surprise, just more "news" I guess until he makes further announcements.

We know the tournaments he usually plays. I want to see him play ones he didn't normally play;
like he did playing the Valspar and Riviera. He said he needs tournament reps so.....................

He/all of them will have to within a 4 year span, unless they've played 25 or more tourneys:

I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Wells Fargo (Quail Hollow), The Players (TPC Sawgrass), and the Memorial (Muirfield Village) before the US Open. It's his last year of eligibility for the Players so I'm positive he'll be there.

I would also bet he will do what it takes to get into the field at Firestone, especially now that it's the last year there.

It would be fun to see Tiger pair up with someone for the Zurich, his new buddy Phil perhaps?

I guess his schedule looks like ...

Wells Fargo
TPC
Memorial
US Open
National
British Open
WGC Bridgestone (I think he does well enough to qualify)
PGA
Fed Ex Playoffs (he's looking good for top 125 already)
Ryder Cup
swing is irrelevant, score is everything

just say NO.... to practice swings

^^Looks about right but he will probably need a win to qualify for the WGC.  I would love to see Tiger and Phil pair up at the Zurich.  With that said, I read a quote somewhere from Tiger after the Masters saying he was going to take 3 weeks off to work on his game so I'm guessing we won't see him until Wells Fargo.

Agreed... he's going to need at least a couple of 2nd place finishes or a win and even then it might not be enough. He's 89th in the OWGR, and of the 39 people above him, some are free falling, but most are strong players or playing pretty well right now. I'd like to see him do it, but he's got his work cut out for him.

Not so.

https://www.pgatour....new-events.html

Players who played in 25 or more official events in the current or previous season, however, would be exempt (Spieth played 25 events in 2014-15). Also exempt are those with lifetime status (15 years on TOUR and 20 wins) as well as veteran members age 45 and above.

Does anyone know if he will play in the Scottish Open before the Open, or will he be doing his own thing to prep?

I think he'd be well served to get some reps in - I am not sure when the last time was that he played a British links course.

Pumped he's playing the National. It's a low key event right after the US Open that won't be a mob scene. He will no doubt bring out more people than usual, but following him on Thursday shouldn't be too much a pain.

Agree, I think the only times he played the week before a major was when he played the Bridgestone before
the PGA. He kinda had to since it was a WGC event.
