Personally I don't really see the angle.  He talks to some caddies and supposedly gets some scoop.  If any other serious reporter actually wanted to talk to the caddies I'm sure they could get scoop as well.  I don't see the special value brought here.  I can appreciate the jokes, but they have him as their main guy on the PGA tour.  A little too many anecdotes for me.

In smaller spurts it would play better IMO.

Thoughts?

I'm not a huge fan.  His act is a bit like Feherty's.  It is funny the first time maybe even the second.  By the 20th time, it's just lame!!!

I like them. He used to be a tour caddie so he gets maybe some more honest interaction and access than a normal reporter. His XM radio show with Pat Perez is hysterical.

Because its become overly political and gossipy (the TMZ of sports) as its become bigger. Also, many of there analysts are bad, just loud not insightful. Mainly there sports content isnt there anymore. So many better places to get highlights and news.

I got tired of seeing tweets and Facebook posts from athletes instead of highlights. I got tired of a “my wish” type of segment every freaking day. I got tired of hearing things like “dis” “throwing shade” “clap back “ and other nonsense where real words were once used. I got tired of sportscenter being used as a political tool.
Espn used to be homeruns, double plays, pick 6’s, triple doubles and 50 yard td runs. Now it’s some 7 foot tall baby acting like a Kardashian and 45 minutes of showing indecipherable jibberish from the twitter account of an illiterate college dropout.

Michael is a former comedian turned caddie turned on course play caller turned on course
prognosticator turned golf funny man. I generally like Michael but his schtick does get a little

He was super annoying when he first started but it's been getting better.  I'm not sure I love his style, but it's not terrible.  ESPN should push for more content not less.  It's almost like they only have him on for part time.

The Mike Collins is a fun variation of the classic Tom Collins drink. Made form Irish whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup and club soda, and served over ice in a Collins or highball glass.

This sums it up, haha.

I put ESPN on during CFB season for actual games and for background noise while cleaning the house....and maybe a time or two when there's nothing cool on the travel channel about food or mysteries (which goes to show you how low ESPN has gotten on the totem pole for me).

I honestly can't remember the last time I watched ESPN.  Maybe the John Daly 30 for 30?  What was that, 18 months ago?

ESPN is a shell of its former self, throwing everything against the wall hoping anything will stick.

I’d like someone to literally throw Stephen A Smith up against a wall.

Do people seriously not watch ESPN when they’re broadcasting a game they want to see?  Just because they don’t like the politics or personalities on some of ESPN’s talk and opinion shows?

It seems a little “cut off your nose to spite your face” to me.

I can’t inagine deciding not to watch Thursday or Friday’s afternoon Masters coverage, or a Sunday night baseball game with the team I root for, or an NBA playoff game just because of the network it happened to be on.

ESPN just isn’t in my “go to” channels when surfing. I watched the masters online at work. Do t watch basketball. DBacks are on the local fsn 158 times this year.

Do they even broadcast live sports still?  Couldn’t tell you the last time a game I wanted to watch was on espn. Maybe came across a game and watched, but intentionally go to espn for a game?  Maybe twice a year?
