Anybody have a brand they recommend that don’t hit knee level on us sub 6ft’ers?   Looking for a performance fabric style.

VV golf and performance stuff is solid.  I know it sounds weird but I just picked up a pair of 9" Jcrew "Tech" shorts today, and the fit and feel is amazing. Definitely will be in my golf rotation for this season. The highline grey color is nice.. somewhere between dark grey and green and looks awesome with a navy shirt.

They carried the 9" in my local store in all 4 colors, picked up the grey/green ones on Saturday. I want to say the 7" was available in store well.. but I know the 10.5" was online only.

9" only in my local store.

But my local store is inside a typical mall, and the men's section is very small.

(In reference to the J Crew Tech Shorts)

Just looked those up, and while they look nice, I can almost guarantee they would be way too long. Look to be around a 9-10" inseam.

I am a 6-8" inseam guy. I hate anything that touches my knee caps.

I assure you, these are not 9-10". They are 8" max. When I am standing they barely touch the top of my knee cap. I don't have small quads by any means so mabye that's helping me, but I've been searching for the perfect golf short for a long time and these are it.

They are stretchy, dri fit, and the inseam is on point for short people. These shorts rock.

Bonobos has a golf-specific line that are great, 8 or 10 inch inseam options. I'd add them to the list of ones to check out...

What's the waist sizing of the Nike flex compared to UA if you have any experience with both?  My go-to shorts the past few years have been UA match play taper (34" waist), but when I tried a pair of Nike hybrid shorts earlier this year, the 34" was ENORMOUS on me..  I just hate ordering online because I'm super picky about how my clothes fit.

Same with me man, very picky. I'm a 33-34 and these fit me great in a 34. I would say since they are a modern nike fit they run more like a 33 than a 34, in size 34. I dont have any experience with the UA stuff, sorry.

I did just buy two pairs of TW nike shorts and the 34 was more like a 36 on me, it was insane. These are not loose at all and the flex band in the waist is awesome.

Mr. Wolfe

Damn. When I bought them, I did the 3 pair for 30% off, which made them $48.65 each.

Honestly considering ordering them again for $33.95 each, then returning them with the $48.65 receipts. Unless they can just price adjust to match and save the hassle.

For sure, I would call them and tell them that. They will honor it as it is cheaper for them then doing a return which they would have to honor.

If anyone is buying the J. Crew Tech shorts, use the promo code SHOPNOW and the price is $33.95 each. Just ordered the green and stone.

Mr. Wolfe

Mr. Wolfe

Well, I was too impatient. Went ahead and purchased them again (Thank goodness for having a J Crew Credit Card). Got all 4 colors for $146.20 versus $157.11 for 3 pairs last time!

Thanks for the heads up!
