Out of the Vokey, Cleveland, and Calloway wedges out this year, which grind works best of your chipping technique in tight lies around the greens?  These lies are very tight.

Have only seen a few of them so far.

Dan mentioned the V grind.  Someone came for a lesson the other day and had a V 60*.  It was great.

From the description the V grind sounds very similar to Callaway's x grind.

The cleveland rtx-3 I believe comes standard with their version of the V grind.  I have it on my 58* and it's solid.
Driver: Callaway Epic 9* w/ Graphite Design Tour AD M9003
FWY:  Taylormade Rocketballz Tp 14.5*
Hybrid:  Adams Idea Pro 18*
Irons: Srixon Z765 3-5 iron, z965 6-PW, Project X
54*: Titleist SM6 S grind black finish
58*: Cleveland CG14 1 dot
Putter: Taylormade Daytona Rossa with agsi.

Any thoughts on the Mizuno T7’s?  Comparisons to the Vokey V grind?

Not even close.  The V grind has to be seen in person.  The bounce angle listed, how they measure it, wonít be represented in the number given.   They measure the leading edge to the trailing edge, essentially ignoring the high peak in the middle.

The V digs less yet lays open better than the Vokey D grind even though the D has ďmoreĒ bounce the way they measure it.  Side by side itís obvious which one really has more bounce.

Thanks for responding!  Do you know what the measured bounce on the V is?

Have you seen the Callaway X Grind? Similar description but by what you're describing, maybe not even remotely similar.

10* from leading edge to trailing edge.   But thatís ignoring the large peak in middle of sole.

Here is V grind vs a 14* bounce wedge

What about Ping Glide TS? I think you'd mentioned that one in the past. At least from pics, TS sole looks thinner than V.

Itís thinner.  It works well for guys who play in firmer conditions like Bermuda down in south.  But V works everywhere including soft conditions
