Tried the new Arnold Palmer “spiked” lemonade/tea.   Can’t say I’m a big fan.  Drank all 6 on the course just to give them a fair shake (hahaha ... I gotz issues).  Last 2 were Ok.   Enjoy Mike’s better.   Gonna give JD’s new concoction a whirl when I see it in a store.  Imagine slamming back a couple of their cocktails on the course while playing with them ... priceless!  Cheers to All!

This is because IPA guys are evidently trademarked with a higher level of beer sophistication for nothing else but the mere act of calling themselves IPA guys.

He's an Miller High Life man.  The champagne of beers.  I'm too lazy to dig out the exact quote, but in an interview a bunch of years back he was asked about it and he said, paraphrasing, "I'm just a Miller High Life man, always have been, ever since I was nine."

When he quit drinking, what he means is he gave up the hard stuff.  He never developed a taste for water, so he drinks watery beer all day.  People like to throw stones at him, but I for one love the guy.  Besides I live in a glass house, so....

Nothing to do with the beverage, but I was at an event last night at the Philadelphia Cricket Club  with author and Sports Illustrated writer Michael Bamberger.  He contends that John Daly is the most naturally "gifted" golfer he's ever seen across multiple generations.  JD had all aspects of the game, brute power, could hit it high or low/ left or right, amazing short game touch, and one of the purest putting strokes of all time when he wasn't hung over with the DTs...lol!  It's a shame he didn't even have a fraction of the discipline and work ethic that most guys who make it to "The Big Show" need to apply just to get there.

It's made with malt liquor...no thanks. I'll stick to the occasional homemade John Daly made with real tea, lemonade, and vodka.

There was a version of this out already by him

As a user said it's "an Arnold Palmer with vodka", which is pretty much Daly's life metaphore

What is this? Alcoholic tea plus lemonade, there has to be a story behind this. The only tea over here is Tetley with milk or Earl Grey  for the toffs.

Yes it's a play on the Arnold Palmer drink (Iced Tea and lemonade), but alcoholic because, well, John Daly is an alcoholic.

Yes but is the actual tea developed with an alcohol content or is it just a regular type of alcoholic beverage being added to the tea and fizzy. ie. Jack Daniels.

Pretty sure it's a tea flavored liquid (quite possibly actual tea) with flavorless alcohol added to it. Like Mike Hard's lemonade

I don't think they're fermenting tea or lemonade.

Did you mean Mike's Hard Lemonade? Or is there really somebody named Mike Hard making lemonade instead of adult movies?...I don't think I want any of Mike Hard's Lemonade.

I like IPAs because they remind me of a bug repellent (6-12) we used when I was a kid. When I open one, it smells like summer in the early 60s.

For you WRX swing technicians, it's called a 'swing lubricator'.
GOLF WRX has become a contentious, despotic website where trolls abound and free exchange of ideas is suppressed.

I had this two weeks ago at Hidden Valley Golf Course out in Corona, CA. They had a special going I believe it was 2 for $8-$10. I wasn’t too keen on the flavor,  tasted like an Arnold Palmer Arizona ice tea Mixed with some well isopropyl alcohol. The  alcohol flavor was really strong for being 8% ABV. However, if your trying to get trashed and crash a golf cart or forget a terrible round, this might be for you. 6/10 wouldn’t buy again.

I agree with this.  I picked one up at the store about a month ago, didn't even know they were new.  I like the regular non-alcoholic Arnold Palmer drink and I like Twisted Tea, so I figured I'd love it.  It's like drinking gasoline.  I'll give the AP alcoholic version a shot if I come across it.

You guys are giving this stuff too much credit, I purchased some a couple of weeks ago, the gas station was running a 2 for $3 special, it was horrible.  I took 3 sips, dumped the rest, and licked a raccoons butthole to get the taste out of my mouth!

I did.  It was just OK.  Not anything special.

JD doesn't really strike me as an IPA guy.

This is because IPA guys are evidently trademarked with a higher level of beer sophistication for nothing else but the mere act of calling themselves IPA guys.

I like IPAs because they remind me of a bug repellent (6-12) we used when I was a kid. When I open one, it smells like summer in the early 60s.

6-12 was made by Union Carbide.   Can't buy stuff like that any longer.
