I have seen them but never used one.  How many of you use them and what advantage are they?

I used one last year; they last forever, unless you lose one and you put the ball on it and it STAYS.

I'm not kidding...17 months with the same tee.  The exact same tee.  It became a running joke with most everyone I play with.  Four guys looking for it after it flew into the fescue in front of the tee box.  After 17 months (five winter without use) it just disintegrated on the tee after a drive.  They last forever.

Advantages?  None that I know of besides durability and they are very easy to find after you drive due to the high vis colors.  As for ball flight from the tee, absolutely zero impact that I could perceive.

I had a two year streak going with one and lost it when it blew into a lake next to the tee.

I considered going into the water after it.

Currently on a 7 month streak with my next one.

Iíve broken 1 in 3 years.

My buddy gave me a new one with the step (so it only goes so deep). That version is my new favorite!

They are silly but I love them. Ball doesn't wobble when it's windy, tee doesn't break, easy to find after hitting. I'm a convert.

I bought a few packs after reading good stuff on here months ago but do you guys find it adds backspin to drives? Sort of opposite Zero Friction tees?

Everything everyone has said about these tees is true.  If you were asking because you noticed they are expensive those are the reasons why.  Unless you lose them they will last nearly forever.

Always seemed to fly too far after the strike.  Got tired of hunting them down so I moved on.

I do not like them but that is based on bad experiences with other players using them and taking forever to set them up because apparently on the box it says to insert slanted and tee the ball forward or something.

I got paired up with a guy who used them to tee his ball in a forward lean by placing the tee slanted towards the target which he claimed helped lower his flight.  The problem was it took him forever to set it up because he always tried to see how slanted he could make the tee without the ball falling out before slicing into oblivion.

STORY:  The Martini Tees were a topic on WRX a number of years ago.  I wrote that they were just another gimmick.   I get an email from the owner of the company and he said if I give an honest review review he will send me some for free.  He sent them (5), I used them (just one), and gave a review that they were everything claimed.  I have used them religiously for many years now.  They are close to impossible to break, I have taken the head off 2 with an iron in cold weather.

Buy 5 and they could last for years, I only replenish because I forget to pick up my tee after hitting.

At my club I was the first to discover them and turned on many of the members to them.  Hope he sends me some more new ones since I am their best advertising agent.

Just discovered that they also make them for iron play.  I purchased those without hesitation.

Seeing this in the store I thought it was a bad golf accessory, but cool to hear everyone having this long lasting experience, and the company owner stepping in is a cool move too. I just bought another bag of 100 Zero Restrictions so I'm set for about 5 years. Maybe I'll buy a 5 pack of martinis though and give em out for small prizes on a golf trip with the guys and keep one for myself.

After 20 years of wooden tees, I switched to the martini tee this year.

I love it. Still on my first one after 6 months. The step guarantees perfect height every time.

A buddy of mine gave one each to my wife and me while visiting him in Kentucky about eight years ago.  I used mine for almost two years before I lost it in some tall fescue and my wife had hers for almost three years before suffering the same fate.

Neither of us has used anything else since then and I've lost count of the number of people that we've "converted".  I ordered about a half a dozen five packs several years ago and offer them up to friends to try and have also given them to a few folks that we've been paired with that noticed and asked about them.

As far as I know, just about all of them made the switch immediately.

I've also been using the Martini "mini" tees for irons and fairway woods and they're just as good only shorter.  I go through more of the mini's though as for some reason I forget to pick them up occasionally while that never happens with the full size.

As for "advantages" relative to perfomance I'm not aware of any but I really like the longevity and the fact that I only need to carry one tee (two if using the mini) for an entire round which sure reduces the amount of clutter in my pocket.

In fact, sometimes I just leave 'em in the tee holders on the cart or on my golf bag and never even put them in my pocket.

To summarize - we love 'em!

Martini tees are the Crossfit of golf tees. The first rule about Martini tees is that you MUST TELL EVERYONE about your martini tee, how long you've had it, and why everyone else is doing it wrong.  Hard pass.

My father in law gave me one, after talking about them for what seemed like hours.  I have been using it ever since, actually every day for that matter.  It's attached to a string in my garage that hangs from the ceiling to stop my wife from hitting the water heater when she pulls into the garage.  :stop:

I do use them every now and then as well as they do last forever.   They are great for the range.    But, I did play with some random one day that tried to tell me if I tilted the thing forward the ball goes further or something like that and I do not think he liked when I told him "yeah or you can just hit the ball in the middle of the club face and that works as well"
