For me, I've known for years that I'll eventually buy a Ping G2 Tess. For some reason, I've always loved the look of that putter but I've never owned one. I demoed one and couldn't miss with it, but still didn't buy it. Price isn't a factor, I've bought a half dozen more expensive putters in the last few years. I think I'm scared that I won't putt well with it over time, so the idea of owning one is better than the reality.

Who else has a putter that they absolutely love, but haven't bought for whatever reason?

I've always wanted a Scotty Cameron Tour Rat based off of looks alone but I've never demo'd/rolled one yet. I have rolled a Newport button back is probably a more realistic get than any circle t putter. I actually like the feel of the insert when I had a TEI3 but the putter itself felt too light... the button back, however felt perfect. There was a club builder shop next to my hometown that i got a chance to roll a few with. They had a built in green there and it didn't seem like I could miss. I shoulda bought it when I had the chance but kept putting it off because it was always there every time I visited. Of course right when I finally decided to buy it its gone. Nowadays I can't find one on ebay for cheaper than $700. I think the shop was selling it for ~$500 at the time....

Why do you think I posted this... this is cheap therapy. I have no clue why I never bought one... like I said, one day.

Finally picked up an Odyssey XG #9 with the rough face from 2006? I just remember wanting one in high school but never had the money to buy one.

The only other one on my radar is a Circa 62' Scotty, but finding one used in LH that doesn't have an outrageous price tag is a challenge.

Always eyeballed a custom Scotty. But as often as I change putters it is just not practical to customize one. But then again it is not "practical" to change putters all of the time.

My putter wishlist looks like:

Scotty Tour Rat Concept #2 Prototype (this one)
Custom Lamb Crafted (like this one)
Bettinardi BBZero Custom DASS (the one shown at the bottom of this article might be my favorite putter ever)

I wouldn't mind 3-putting with any of those!

I used to hate putters (and was never particularly enthusiastic for putting, anyway). For a while, I putted with a 4iron. Then, I happened upon a Wilson GM990 (looks like a miniature golf version of an 8802). Became a lot better putter with it and stopped hating putting. Finally, I got a Callaway Tuttle for $20. It didnít matter if I could putt with it, or not. Itís pretty enough just to look at it. Luckily, I putt great with it. Now, I love it and putting.

I’ve always loved longneck, Anser style putters.

I splurged in 2015 and had a Machine built to my specs. I’d love a solid copper version, I have the funds, just haven’t pulled the trigger.

Have a Yes! Dawn and a couple Yes! tour putters that are amazing, but a Dawn Tour would be the peak. http://www.golfwrx.c...-yes-dawn-tour/
