Talk about being under the microscope...can't believe all those people following him around wherever he goes. When he goes to the can, is there a gallery around the bathroom? :-)

I was lucky enough to be there on Monday. When he made an appearance on the putting green near the first tee the crowd erupted and there was a dash to the green. I had my 8 year old son with me and he wanted to get autographs at the range after Tiger finished his 9 hole practice round. We waited more than 2 hrs while he hit a couple of bags, then chipped and practiced his putting.  The crowd watching him chip and putt was insane.  Tiger signed autographs for all the kids that waited around, which was cool to see.

I’ve followed Tiger at the US open and PGA at Southern Hills and also at the Byron Nelson and the crowd at Monday’s practice round was as big or bigger!

So many eyes. I wouldn't be able to even mark my ball, let alone swing the putter head.

Really when people talk about the intimidation factor its the crowds that follow him most pros especially the younger ones never had to deal with it.

I still think the practice days should not be for spectators.... yes we get a great view of the players but how can they really practice when the crowds are 10 deep cheering like it's a Sunday? Let the men practice, hit 4 balls off the tee, walk the course, walk into the rough or tree'd areas without being gang raped. Never going to happen but it'd be cool for them to be able to practice alone for at least a day or 2.

Wow. Pretty sure you could have used a more gentle phrase to get the point across!

I agree the crowds are insane but I would like to make a point.  I think you are 100% wrong about clearing the galleries so they can "practice".  Every single sport I have played the coach or myself has gone out of the way to simulate the actual pressure of game day.  The crowds should actually help them prepare for the weekend

Still want that putter...
