Hi Golf WRX,

I might be moving to New Orleans in the next few months, and I was wondering if you could recommend your favorite courses in the area.

Not a local but I visited earlier this year and was really impressed with TPC.  And I'm normally not very fond of the TPC courses.

In and around the city, I would say for public courses TPC Louisiana, English Turn, and Bayou Oaks - South are all good tracks.  Also, Audubon is the nicest executive course I've ever played.  There are some decent tracks on the Northshore as well if you can get on them (Beau Chene, Moneyhill).  Also, within a few hours drive you have some great options, particularly in the Biloxi area.  The Preserve, Grand Bear, the Bridges, and Fallen Oak are all awesome tracks if you feel like making a day of it (or more in the case of Fallen Oak since you need to stay at the Beau Rivage to play it).

The Beau Rivage / Fallen Oak package is something you MUST do.
