So besides first tee what can I sign my 6 year old daughter for to learn the game.  She wants to be around other girls and play golf so I don’t want to miss this opportunity

I would look at LPGA girl’s golf.  I would also do a google search in your area to see who offers junior programs.  First Tee is not the place I would take my kid to learn the game.  First Tee is more geared towards being a charity organization than a place for juniors to learn golf.

I might be wrong here but LPGA  girls golf is run by the  first tee.....

a lot of courses have junior programs, weekly clinics for very little cost. But since summer is coming up there are tons of camps to try.

Ya went onto LPGA girls and yes it redirects in some form to First tee.  That’s fine, I’ll start at first tee but wonder what else junior programs offer at 6 years old.

Some are run along side The First Tee.  Some are not.  Are local chapter is just LPGA Girl's Golf with nothing to do with First Tee.  Here is a site map of all the Chapters.

PGA Jr. League is great, but I don't think it is for 6 year olds is it?

My son did PGA JL last summer as a 6 year old, but its probably not the best place avenue if she is just getting started.   She will need to carry her own bag for 9 holes, make club selections, etc...basically play on her own.

It sounds like she is a beginner.  If so, you are going to have take two different approaches to accomplish your goals to 1.) learn the game, and 2.) be around other girls and play.  You probably need to teach her the basics yourself or maybe get a few lessons for her to accomplish goal 1.  Goal 2 - sign her up for any of the camps, first tee, girls golf, etc.   In my experience the programming and camps for these younger ages is geared, as it should be, to cultivating a love for the game and just basic golf skills.....not on detailed instruction. If she is advanced beyond her peers here or you think she wants/would thrive with more competitive structure look at PGA JL or US Kids Golf Tmnts.

My son does some of the summer camps, first tee, and other programming...because he likes social nature of it and hanging out with his buddies.  But the truth it does nothing for his game.  In fact, he probably actually regresses a bit after a few days because he's probably out there mindlessly beating balls instead of practicing correctly.  It takes a week or so to recover, haha, but its worth it because it keeps him engaged and he has fun.

Look for those Nike junior camps at your local muni. They are all over the place here in socal.  With summer around the corner a lot of courses have camps going on. Those programs will be a great place for her to start.

For us, with my son, the local Jr PGA is pretty good. I'm a fan. We played against several other teams and all the gatherings were a lot of fun.
