Was thinking about getting som raw sm7s from wedge works. If I order with increase sw, do they add weight by tip weight or add weight ports in back of the head? I know if you opt to decrease they drill it but not sure about increase.
I want the port holes but not sure if I need to order -1 and then +2 to get the sw I want with holes drilled

They use Tip weights to increase SW.

You want weight reducing ports but you want the SW higher?  WTF are you talking about? This makes no sense.

He might be thinking of ports filled with tungsten.  No they don't do that.  They use tip weights, which are an accepted way to add head weight in the industry.

Drilling ports only to fill them w/ Tungsten and stack a ton of weight really low on the wedge head doesn't make sense to me...

If you want a raw wedge with the ports drilled, get some Mack Daddy 4's in raw finish for $50/wedge less than SM7 Raw.

Vokey Raw might be the best scam going right now.

My apologies if you are talking about drilling and adding tungsten.  There is no chance they will do that.

I saw a video on making Rickie Fowlerís clubs.  Since he plays all his clubs short of standard and does not like or want tip weights, they drill material out of the toe of his Cobra blades and add tungsten.  Itís extremely labor intensive.   I believe they said it takes their best craftsman an entire day to do 3 heads.

Obviously no one other than a tour staff player gets that treatment.
