We know the 1857 line is going to be expensive, and for the shoes, I think most people understand why they cost so much.  This, on the other hand, is a price point that will be hard to justify, IMO.  I'd also like confirmation on the price, since the OP even admits he's not positive it'll be $75.

If I am spending $75.00 for a glove, I sure don't want one that half the club has tried on!  It will be interesting to see how they position this.

I will admit. When i see these in stores,  I will try it on to see how  it feels. Anything short of unicorn and Im not buying though. I do remember petting a walaby and wanting one bc it was so soft. I didnt think about making a glove or scarf out of it, I guess Im not as good at business as I need to be.
I would bet not too many stores will have them, and they probably won't be out where just anybody can try them on. I believe $75 will get me 9 Callaway gloves from Costco.

I'm going to try to get hit by an Adam Scott tee ball, and maybe he'll give me one.  That is the only way I'll ever have one.

Has anyone confirmed the $75 price, or is this still rumor based off OP?  I would imagine they could not go much higher than G Fore pricing.

No confirmation yet, but remember, the shoes will be around $700 and these are only supposed to be going into the ultra private clubs around. These are not ticketed for the big box retailers across the country. If they will charge 700 bones for shoes, do you think a 75 dollar glove is too outrageous? I think not.

I read on the Footjoy Forum that it was designed for "the top accounts at the finest clubs."

I would say I am the complete opposite of their target market.

No kangaroo taint gloves for me.  Rats.

I'm sorry but "unicorn" glove? For something that's going to be destroyed in two weeks? I'll try it on too, but unless it comes with the keys to Tiger's house, I'm good.
You missed it...literal Unicorn. Like from the mythological creature, but now that Im explaining it lost the appeal.

Most of us will never see one of these gloves in a Pro Shop. Unless you're at some place like Pine Valley or Cypress a lot. :-)

I'd be shocked to see them in either of those shops personally.

I'd imagine new money spots like Sebonack, Alotian, Wade Hampton, Sage, Friars Head, and Atlantic would be their markets.

Can't wait to pick a few of these up on clearance for about $15 a pop after FJ realizes their market size is around 14 people nation wide.

I saw the whole line today.  The shoes look amazing. They also have some sweaters, etc to go along with the line.  The sweaters are really nice.  I tried the glove and it feels only slightly better than the Pure Touch.  The club was selling them from $85 each.  For me, no thank you.  It is a really nice glove, but not $85 worth.  Shoes and the sweaters, maybe.  They will last a lot longer than a glove and therefore can be justified.

I too think the 1857 is ridiculous overpriced and I love FJ apparel.

$750 for a pairs of shoes? Give me a break. That’s a set of clubs.

Check out the prices:https://www.fj1857.com
