My theory is that it was a fellow WRXer. Not just any WRXer, mind you, but a rabid, Tiger fan WRXer. You know, the kind that vehemently defends even the most minor slight towards Tiger, as if they have a deep, personal relationship with him. Because of this perceived relationship, the guy just got carried away in the moment and blurted out the teasing comment towards his buddy. No harm intended. At least he didn't call him "Alice."

Hey Tiger, "Does your husband play golf?" was uttered when Tiger short putted on the 11th yesterday during Valspar.  I cringed when I heard it.

Is this the kind of "super funnny" and humorous things we can expect guys who spend their "hard earned money" to "blow off steam" to be yelling out in the future?

I'm sure all the ladies thought the guy who yelled it was super classy, funny, progressive and handsome.  He probably had to fight off all the new fans he had from such a witty comment.  (this is sarcasm)

Your thoughts?

It's a stupid comment. Tiger isn't married.

Just think how bad things will be when millenials start complaining that the next generation lacks respect.

Right, because heckling on tour began in the 2010's.

I guarantee your father's generation said everything about you that you say about millennials.

So yelling stupid absurd and utterly untimely things just so you can think you are someone important to more than your goldfish in turn causes me to turn the sound off and listen to something else which takes away my enjoyment because again your just so popular....with your dead goldfish.

I'm of the opinion younger generations are both more disrespectful when they should not be and much more easily offended at the same time.  Really should make up their mind...I thought it was no big deal.

Time will tell if rude behavior becomes a norm at The Masters.  Somehow, I think the powers that be will be able to keep the masses under control.

I'm going to the API this weekend.  Maybe I'll video the hecklers and post them online.
No one's ever done that.  I'll post them here as well as on YouTube so we can have some
of these douchebags immortalized and they can enjoy their just rewards in perpetuity.

By this, I mean I'll get right up in their &^%$-ing face w/the phone.

Why is it ok at an NFL/NBA/NHL game?  Heck why is it ok at a MMA event to yell at and heckle the participants?

They are out there giving their all (ok except maybe the Browns) for your entertainment.  If you could do better you'd be the one inside the ropes.

It's ok for a few reasons:

1) They're out there beating the hell out of each other, trying to get cheap shots in at every turn, break rules where and when they can.  Not exactly in line with "etiquette"
2) They trash talk each other
3) Fans, for the most part, are far enough away from the action where they can't hear individuals (NBA might be the only exception).

It's definitely annoying to hear the yelling before, during and after shots.  Iam all for cheering, but the need to be heard is a sign of the way society is.  We are a "look at me" society and it has seeped into golf.  Until the USGA does something about it, there is nothing that we can do, except complain about it.

What does the USGA have to do with it? Unless of course you are talking about the one single event per year they control. This is something that the PGA Tour needs to address. USGA isn’t involved.

Personally, it doesn’t bother me. Is it stupid? Sure, but a lot of things we have to deal with in life are stupid. It’s all a matter of how you deal with it. I don’t let it get my blood pressure up. There’s far more important things in life to get worked up over than some schlub yelling something stupid after someone hits a ball.

I'm sure even Tiger has used that joke with MJ or Duf like 1000 times ... he probably either blocked it out or laughed a bit at himself....
