I will be ready, but a win by Fleetwood may put me down for good. I need some star power damn it. Not some WWE jobber taking a chair to the face for my viewing pleasure.

Fleetwood is star power, so is Sergio, and stenson, and mcilroy, and matsuyama, and even as far as Adam Scott (another 2 first namer).  Golf is global not just for ‚€˜merica and if that‚€™s your lens you are missing out.

Paul Casey hasn‚€™t won as much as he should, but damn his swing is sweet.

But SERIOUSLY, no, copperhead will not get a Rydercup.

The course looks cool on TV.  No idea if it's R. Cub worthy.

I’m just trying really hard to help him with his initial question :)

Lol.

I like Copperhead more than most of the other FL courses they use on Tour.

For sure, to each their own!  Have you played it?  I am curious why you like it more.  I live in CA and from TV I prefer the look of pga national, bay hill, tpac sawgrass, and doral (though I like that the tournament was moved to Chapultepec).

A lot of people don’t like east lake as the tour championship but I like it on TV.

Sawgrass would be my favorite of the regulars in FL.

Copperhead just looks like itís interesting off the tee, at least thatís how it strikes me.

Iím in CA and Iíve never played any of these courses so my opinion doesnít mean much.

No way. It rains too much in the summer here to have a RC. You'd be smack in the heart of heat, rain and hurricane season.

No.  Innisbrook is a tad run down.  Very old facility that isn't very nice.  Club house and accommodations are old.  I honestly don't see how this facility stays on tour.  Very small practice areas as well.  Much better venues in Florida than this place.

Umm, any course that allows Paul Casey to shoot a 65 on Sunday isn't worthy of a municipal championship. They should literally be ashamed of themselves, not be celebrated.

In fact, the PGA tour shouldn't even come back here.
LMAO, you obviously have never played at Innisbrook, or probably anywhere decent. That course is a brute, and somebody ALWAYS shoots 65 Sunday, at every Tour event. It just depends on how far back they are......

Agree that it's too hard for a Ryder Cup, but definitely could host a major.  Grow that rough out, bake the greens, add a few longer tees in forcing driver, it's major championship tough.

Could shave some of the banks so that balls roll back/off the false fronts, yet cabbage behind the greens to prevent erring on one side.

Apparently my bookie wasn't surprised at Casey's results...he was 13-1 before the tournament started...at the time, a seemingly ridiculous number considering he hadn't won on the PGA tour in nearly 10 years...well over 200 starts, I believe.

The important thing here is that the PGA tour learns from its mistakes and something like this never, ever happens again.

What a rotten, rotten day for golf.

So I take it you're not a Paul fan?

I believe when I invest multiple hours of a weekend day in sitting in front of a TV, it shouldn't be punished by the WWE equivalent of a "jobber" catching lightning in a bottle and wrecking the weekend of millions of viewers. It is just a cruel, cruel joke from the golf Gods.

May the golf Gods infest his crotch with 10,000 fleas.

Wow, been on WRX since 2008 so you've seen a thing or two.  This has really gotten to you triple - you're off your game.  It's time to regroup and quickly because API is almost here.  Get prepared.

I'd hate to hear what he thinks of Craig Perks, Chad Campbell or YE Yang.

Copperhead is in my top 3 favorites in Florida.  Ryder Cup September in Florida would be a horrible sauna for players and fans.

Looking forward to my Orlando trip this week to enjoy temps in high 70s.  No Bay Hill for me, as I really don't enjoy crowds.  Will be hanging north of Orlando at Mission Inn, Howey-in-the-Hills.

it's not just the weather; the accommodation makes it impossible for that many folks; the course is great but the viewing area is VERY limited with little spacing between holes.

Agree that Casey has been playing well, but someone who is 1/226 in PGA starts should really never be as low as 13/1...if we're talking about a top 10 or top 20 finish, then it's a different story altogether, but betting someone to win and getting such awful odds (normally reserved for a JS/DJ type of player) is a recipe for disaster in the long run.

It did pay off this week, however, and he gets props for that...like to see his longer term record...betting PGA players to win is one of the most futile and frustrating bets in sports!

I could imagine. I'm not much of a bettor, especially when it comes to golf. I'm not sure I'd have picked Casey to win. I was more using the rankings to counter those ripping on Casey.

I honestly don't even know how frequently Casey plays on tour. If I saw 13/1 my first instinct would have been, wtf?

I think it is a great course to play and terrific for a PGA Tour event but it does not have enough room to host a Ryder Cup.

I attended Saturday at Hazletine and the amount of real estate required for all the merchandise and corporate tents was staggering.

TRUE........I'll take Innisbrook Island over the Copperhead, The Valley over the TPC Stadium, Silver (even though it's short) over Blue at Doral, and half a dozen courses in Orlando over Bay Hill (I lived in Bay Hill for 5 years, it's no BIG deal).......TOO many options in Florida to choose from......BUT, I can see why many Tour players have said the Copperhead is their favorite course on the Florida swing.....It's tough, and doesn't favor the longest hitters.....
