I wish, just one time, that some company would release a desirable/popular iron or driver in LH only, and let all of the righties know what it feels like..

I played the Titleist 731PM's for two seasons.

Left only I do believe?

Yup, Left handed only. I just sold mine a couple months ago, I really liked those irons :)

Not gonna lie, never knew this.. great, now I have to get yelled at by my wife because I'm ordering them off the bay.

They even make a 2 Iron for that set ;)

That's awesome.. one of the main reasons I like Titleist is because every product line comes in lefty.

I remember seeing last year that Callaway had an Epic SZ 440 "PM" head on USGA confirming list.  Could you imagine if they went into retail with a Rogue/Epic 440 SZ in lefty only.. WRX would break lol.

Speaking of Phil, has anyone ever met a lefty who doesn't root for him every event?

I'm not sure when many of you guys started playing the game. I started around 1980. There is so much more left handed gear available today than there ever has been. While we do miss out on some clubs the selection we have now is just light years ahead of when I began.

Yes. Me. Actually have never been a fan of any left handed golfer. Have nothing against him or anybody else. Just never rooted for him. Even though I am a lefty to me lefty golf swings just do not look natural. Even at the pro level. I wretched the first time I saw my swing on video. :taunt:

lol true.
i dont think that diminishes the suck factor that still comes along with being a lefty in the modern golfing world, though, cause it still definitely sucks - albeit to a lesser degree than it did in the past.

The lefty selection has gotten much better over the years but I find the biggest area that could be improved is putters. Us lefties don't have anywhere near the amount of options as the righties do.

The killer deals don't apply when it comes to certain putters though. Try finding a decent condition SC del mar for less than $400. RH one's go for like $250.

MP-19 were Mizuno's lefty only model.... (and I bought them just for that reason)  Actually I played them for 5 years, trying a few different irons along the way, but nothing could kick them out of the bag.  Still the best feeling iron I've ever hit when you caught em on the screws.

The original Mizuno TP-9s were lefty only as well, Zero bounce throughout the set until the PW at 1* of bounce lol. They later made them in righty when they were re released in the 90s and Faldo won a few with them as far as i know. I had a set but there were razor blades, sweet as **** to look at though and buttery soft. :)

Depends. Brands like Cobra, Wilson, Cleveland you can find really good deals at times. Other stuff like Scotty/Betti.. The more niche brands, prices are the same if not sometimes even higher.

I will say... my #1 gripe honestly is the big chain stores never have a good lefty selection. If I just want to puttz around in a golf store I really can't. I have to pay for fittings or buy blindly. I went to test Epic SZ and all they had in lefty was the regular Epic in 10.5, which isn't a great fit for me. But right... Regular Epic plus SZ in all available lofts. Even club champion which actually has a pretty good lefty head selection barely has any left putters (at least the one by me). I'd say putter is the #1 hardest club to actually try as a lefty.

#2 is lefty UDI's. Cmon people...! There's virtually no used market for left hand #2's out there. You have the Taylormade UDI and maybe 1 or two TMBs, maybe a U45/65. Prices aren't super awesome their either. You can buy brand new but since there's almost no way to try one in a store... buying blind.

I wish the forum had a sub section in equipment for lefties. It would be so nice to discuss new products coming out and not have it get buried in general discussion. Similiar to how we have a BST for Lefties right now :)

Ever been to Cheescake factory? I hate it because it's nearly impossible to decide. I much prefer simpler options that fit my 'appetite' (game). I'm sure some will disagree - but having 100 putters vs 30 putters allows me to focus on the style I prefer and pick from a smaller crop. Makes my decision easier and have less buyers remorse if it doesn't work out.

I don't know, maybe you guys are much more picky than I am, but I can find something that works in left hand, almost always. Sure, I drool over a few clubs that are right hand only, but the left hand selection is not as bad as some think.

Boo! This is all about plight lol.

My biggest gripe recently is that I did an iron fitting a little over a year ago and I really wanted to try the Cobra forged TEC but they weren't available. Apparently they weren't available anywhere in America in demo clubs. They were quite easy to find to buy but I really would have liked to get trackman data on them. I bought them anyway, and they've worked out well. I plan on another iron fitting this fall and we'll see what my options are then. I'm really interested in the TM P790, the 718 AP2/AP3, and the new version of the forged TEC.

Globalgolf had all kinds of Cobra Tec forged just buy and if you dont like send back.   Ive done that with a bunch if clubs.  Globalgolf was the best until recently you could stack a 25% off lefties on top of other discounts.  Not anymore but Taylormadegolfpreowned has a 35% off lefty code.  About a month ago got a mint (new) 2016 M2 driver and 3, hybrid in VG condition for $159 total.

Yeah but certain brand/model only come righty, which is a shame.

The Queen Bee is such a lovely looking head, but a lot of Betti stuff only comes in RH.

I have been to the cheesecake factory and I found it rather disappointing. It was decent but not great and way over priced.

I see where you're coming from but I'd rather have more to choose from and get exactly what works for me rather than have a limited selection and have to pick my second or third choice.

The lefty selection has gotten much better over the years but I find the biggest area that could be improved is putters. Us lefties don't have anywhere near the amount of options as the righties do.

Sometimes less is more!

My $0.02
I have been to the cheesecake factory and I found it rather disappointing. It was decent but not great and way over priced.

I see where you're coming from but I'd rather have more to choose from and get exactly what works for me rather than have a limited selection and have to pick my second or third choice.
My biggest gripe was always a lack of slant necks for lefties. Now it looks like Odyssey is final wising up, the 7S is available in lefty and I think also the jailbird and probably the marxman and 2 ball also. I swore I also saw the 2W in a non plumbers variant also, but I'm not really into their blade inserts... For some reason just love a fresh milled face on a blade. I can handle inserts in mallets, not sure why.

Global Golf is actually where I bought them...got a great deal too :)

I later bought my dad a set as well

One of the things that I often wonder about is a few years back when Callaway came out with the XR 16 subzero it was only available to buy in right hand. I'm pretty sure Phil gamed one for a little while. That being said they would have had to engineer the club in left hand. Seems like an awful lot of work and money spent for one guy to have this driver. Why not make it available to purchase in left hand? I mean seriously they already spent the money to create the club. I'm not saying to have it stocked in all the golf stores but just make it a custom order item. If I have to wait a month til it ships so be it. At least I have the opportunity to buy it if I choose.

How much does it really cost to flip the design of a golf club anyway? I have no idea how expensive this would be. It does look as though Cobra is heading down the custom order path as their recent options in 5 & 7 woods are custom order since last year. I think that's a great way to go. In that way they don't get caught with a bunch of inventory that didn't sell. Just make what is ordered. I don't know why they won't be offering the Cobra Forged Tec Black utility irons as custom order. Definitely missed the mark on that one, especially with how well the first utility iron sold I thought that would pave the way for the left handed version.

I buy all my clubs used.  Either on ebay or one of the sites like global golf.

Every time I see what looks like a deal that it almost too good to be true - upon further inspection - it is for a left hand club.

You leftys need to look on the bright side.  Maybe there is not the greatest array of brand new left hand clubs out there - but all the best deals on used clubs are for left handed ones.

This is true, I picked up a new on wrapper Ping G30 3W in December for $70 from a local Dicks.

True
At the golftown demo days I got a Taylormade TP Soto putter for $120 when it retails for $230 up here in Canada. It was brand new - probably a floor model that nobody tried because of the price :-/

There may be some truth to the Lefty cheaper prices stuff, I’ve managed to find an awful lot of clubs over the years for $100 CDN or less. :)

I always golf with at least 2 lefties. Sometimes it's me and 3 lefties. It's awful. They're always on the wrong side of the course.

My normal foursome has three lefties. The right handed guy always complains. He's also 5'7" while us three lefties are all 6'3" or taller. He complains about that too.

Has anyone hit an outstanding 3 wood lately?  I am looking to replace my current three wood.  The difficulty is that I cannot find one that hits it as far, straight, and with the trajectory that suits my eye.  Thoughts?

I really like the Tour Edge products... but as the thread has clearly stated, tour edge as so many others, doesn't carry a full line of left handed products.
