Sounds like he needs a shaft that weighs more why would anyone want an iron shaft that light when youíre a strong as he is

He actually went up 17 grams from what heís been playing for at least a decade.  Pretty substantial change really.

i95cw  is 95 gram untrimmed.    105x is 112 grams untrimmed.

I don’t have much experience with steelfiber, but is the i95 stiff actually stiffer than a105x modus? I’ve played the 105x and it’s definitely not a noodle.

Yes.   Biggest difference is in the tip side (and it's pretty big) but even the butt/mid sections are a little bit stiffer in the i95.

Thanks.   Interesting he used the term "tighten up" with respect to a significantly softer shaft.

When I read that paragraph I’m getting that he was talking dispersion and distance control:

“Felt like it was time to tighten stuff up," Snedeker said of the new iron setup. "Wasn't coming off where I was looking. The shafts so far, kind of know the distance right away when I put them in. So far so good. Hoping they keep hanging in."

I don’t have much experience with steelfiber, but is the i95 stiff actually stiffer than a105x modus? I’ve played the 105x and it’s definitely not a noodle.

His quote is interesting because I had a similar issue.  Where I felt the ball was supposed to go or felt like I hit it, it wasn't quite starting there or going there.  At first I thought my clubs might have been built upright, but I had them checked and they were standard (which I've always played and was fit for). Something never was right with the steelfibers for me.

I do think they are good iron shafts if you are looking at playing something lighter weight, like the 95 to 110 gram.  I had 125s and did not see any advantage over any of the steel shafts I had played at or around the same weight.

ditched my steelfiber 110s for modus 105 and best move i ever made.
Same here. Last three rounds with the SF's : 87, 83, 85. GIR 38%
First 3 with the Modus 105's : 77, 81, 78. GIR 54%
My Iron play was suffering with the Steel fibers. I think they were too stiff for me 3 years ( 1 surgery and two other injuries) into them.
Looking for Modus 115 wedge shafts now..
