Wondering if anyone has done any head to head comparisons of the HZRDUS Yellow and the Even Flow Blue? Looking for a shaft with low spin, mid-flight and good feeling of kicking through the ball.

Any experience with both greatly appreciated

I just demod a Ping G400 and grabbed a demo club that had the HZRDUS Yellow 5.5 amd it was way better than the several driver demos with various shafts, to include the M4 Atmos, and the Yellow was WAY lower spin and WAY more accurate. I would have never thought about hitting the Yellow. I want that in my Ping G400 Max I am getting ready to bet fit in.

Sorry, never hit the Wven Flow.

I've got both in 6.5 and the Even Flow feels smoother.  I couldn't feel the HZRDUS kick like the Even Flow, but I felt that the HZRDUS would be more stable if I really went after one.  Overall I prefer the feel of the Even Flow especially if you have a smooth transition.

I'm hearing conflicting ideas on how stiff the HZRDUS lineup is, with many saying to drop down a flex? Are you seeing the same thing?

How did you find the ball flights and spin between the HZRDUS and Even Flow?

Yes the hzrdus play stiffer to flex. I have a G400 max with the yellow 6.0 and it’s pretty stout.

Also have a M3 with evenflow blue and much prefer it to the hzrdus. Just feels so much better. It’s smooth but not loose.

I think a more equal comparison would be Hzrdus yellow to Evenflow black. On PXs site yellow is listed as a low low shaft for high swing speeds with smooth transition. Where Hzrdus black is the same but aggressive transition

Hzrdus Yellow and Evenflow Blue don't appear to be in the same ballpark if this TM chart is to be believed. https://www.taylorma...stom_Shafts.pdf

Here is a comparison of the two from Titleist's fitting site. According to their measurements, the HZRDUS yellow is among the stiffest shafts that they offer in the butt and tip. Even Flow Blue is close to your typical smooth Blue Board profile.

Agree on the above posts. I have only compared the two on the range but for me I haven't noticed a big difference in ball flight.  HZRDUS may be a little lower but not much different.  Like i said before I much prefer the feel from the Even Flow.

Ive hit both on a monitor. Feel is completely different. Hzrdus feels more stable, ie less kick. Evenflow has a softer midsection and you can feel it kick through the ball. It’s got a nice feel if it suits you, but i could see where some might not like the lack of stability. Based on my hitting the evenflow launched a bit higher and spun more than the hzrdus yellow.

Interested in this topic, as I am thinking of these two shafts in a Ping LST.

If I was fit into a 6.0 Hzrdus, would anyone recommed a 6.5 in EvenFlow Blue?

Is the counterbalance in the Yellow quite obvious?

The blue s or x for me was out of control big hooks and even hit one driver the club bounced behind the ball and almost whiffed it.

Thanks all, I'll see if I can find a Dicks and try them out. Saw a couple listings for $100 .. is this a fair price for these (assuming they're not handcrafted).

You sure that’s a shaft issue and not a swing issue?

I tried them both yesterday. I would say, in terms of how stout they are it would be Evenflow Blue, HZRDUS Yellow, Evenflow Black, HZRDUS black. I'm a borderline guy who sits on the fence between S and X but I have really high launch and spin numbers. I'm going to give the Evenflow Black a try on a sub-zero. Yellow isn't quite what I want and I just think black is to much in a 6.5. I thought the Evenflow felt way better.

Probably but didn't happen with any other shaft I tried that day. The Evenflow Blue was the most erratic shaft I have ever swung. Just not for me.

I've had some experiences with the HZRDUS with mixed issues.

Tried the Yellow in 6.0 and 6.5 - Higher Launch/High Spin but pretty accurate.

Black in 6.0 and 6.5 - Both just felt too boardy, was hitting hooks but with good low launch.

I'm waiting for my EF black to arrive to put in my 3 wood.

My driver experiences no issues now with the KK DC TX so It was definitely the shaft.

IMO two dif shafts. Havent hit the Blue but fitter at club champ (while I got fit for my driver) said it's fairly high kicking, mid spin. Also I do not think the Blue is CB'ed whereas the Yellow is.

If you want something with good kick but still lowish spin I highly recommend the Speeder Evo II. I've heard good things about Evenflow black though, so I think you want to go that route.

I know you asked specifically about the two shafts in the thread title, but I'm responding to: "Looking for a shaft with with low spin, mid-flight and good feeling of kicking through the ball". Have you tried the Tensei CK Pro Blue? Your words above are exactly how I would describe it.

Just making a guess here, but the shafts mentioned are stock shaft offerings for new products, some of which are running specials. Tensei is an upcharge.
