Anyone have any creative ideas/suggestions on how to get gift cards through this deal?  Need a new grill at Home Depot!

Wait. How could you do guest checkout and get the code to work a second time? I couldnít do it and I tried a bunch.

Thanks.

I just used another email address and started a new EBay account. Iím a zero feedback buyer. LOL.

Code worked like a charm on the second account using my same PayPal account.

The only drawback, I can figure, is this new account will make the eBay bucks. :) Not a big deal for 20% off! When the bucks come in Iíll just have to access this new account also.

Lastly, donít forget to use your Ebates! Itís up to 10% off eBay right now. I donít think the Ebates percentages apply to golf stuff this time around, but you never know.

It is "up to" 10%, so it would be the normal 1% right?

Seller needs to accept the offer and reply you with that invoice before the day or coupon expires

Pretty much as long as the seller accepts your offer before the cut off time your good to go and you pay. Just apply the coupon code at check out. There’s a box stating coupon.

Alright. So let's say a friend buys something you have listed as local pickup. Couldn't you use the coupon and get free money essentially? It would only he 8% after eBay and PayPal fees but still

Don't be confused, the 10% on ebates does not apply to all items.  Only the video games category.  Other categories vary between the standard 1% to 8% cash back.

https://www.ebates.com/ebay

Still, it's been a while since we've seen a site-wide ebay coupon.  Go crazy folks!

I mean they still get the 10% of the purchase price and 3% paypal fee so even then they are basically just trying to get sellers selling more and people to visit their site more. The cap is $100 and it's almost over so I think it was a nice coupon but they shouldn't be losing too much money. My bro downloaded the app just to buy something, so getting a lot more users is a plus for them.

Paypal is it's own separate entity now so that's outside of ebay's income. Basically after their 10% and Paypal's 3% they're losing 7% per transaction. So they lost $35 on me today, not just took a hit on their income, they took in nothing and paid out $35 to somebody else. I've got no qualms with it from my perspective as it's their offer, just the logic from a business standpoint confuses me. Sure they might bring in some new customers but I'd have to think the experienced buyers vastly outweigh new customers coming in.

Come Monday, someone at eBay will be looking through a spreadsheet with all of the "new" accounts created during this promo and exclaiming that what a brilliant success it was. Six months from now, that same person will probably be looking for a new job after someone else realizes how many of those accounts were secondary/duplicate accounts.
