Jeff is a great golfer. Rory should have played him straight up. It’d be interesting to see how close that would have been.

The way Rory has been putting these days, I would think that he should have spotted Knox 8 strokes!

If he gave him 8 strokes, then he didn't beat him...

If there was a bet (and I'm sure there was if strokes were involved), then he did beat him on the bottom line.
I suppose... beat him out of some money maybe...  I guess I'm bitter and and a disgruntled old bastxxx with the handicap system.  I can't count the times I've shot 68 and "lost" to a 82.

To me it all smells like...
Guy 1 to Guy 2: Hey let's run a one mile race, I'm a little overweight so I get a 3/4 mile head start!
End of the run, Guy 1:  I beat you!

Always cool stories involved with this guy though...

Understand where you're coming from.

(I do however think you're overestimating guy 1's ability to run a 1/4 mile though!!) :)

I didn't realize Augusta had that
many different tees. If I read his record correctly I saw three different home course ratings?

Could any be from Augusta CC? He's a member there too.

It appears that Casey does need a marker. That implies that Jeff "SuperMarker" Knox should be coming out of the bullpen. Jeff should get to play tomorrow as well unless there is a WD or DQ.

Yet the funny thing to me is, Knox at times, has a harder time even making it to the qualifying rounds here in GA am events.

Always cool stories involved with this guy though...

Not that I’m overweight, just that I didn’t run for the first time until I was 28. And I don’t have much time to practice my running compared to you, plus you’re a talented runner. And before when we ran straight up, you beat me by MORE than 3/4 of a mile half the time. So it’s more fun to compete his way.

Ok, ok I didn’t have to say “I beat you”. I did say, “if you don’t have cash, ive got Venmo and PayPal?”

Because why would you play the tour when you can run a foundation, play ANGC, and summer in the mountains or the Hamptons?

What a frustrating position to be in. At least at scratch you know you have no chance at any tour but you're still very good. At +3 you're so close but so far.

Yeah, for a full season.

However.... Last year an amateur buddy who plays between a +1.5 and +3.5 (averages about + 2.5?) not only qualified for the US Senior Open, but made the cut, and in the process beat a bunch of Champions Tour guys on a USGA set-up golf course. :-)
