I thought it was him and Bubba and he pretty much hoseled his hybrid off the first tee at Gleneagles?
Was there another one! :)

There is still a lot of time left and big point events, but wow, those are some stout teams right now.

Tiger and Poulter seem like locks.

After Hazeltine, where is Thomas Pieters? :busted_cop:

Bingo.
That was his passive-aggressive way of telling them they have no chance to play.
If only he'd made Fisher a vice captain ;)

Nice to see Xander finally getting warmed up, and sweet to see Aaron Wise up there.  He'll need to continue playing well.

I'd like to see Brian Harman get hot again.  Did you know he leads the TOUR in Top Ten finishes?  I'd also love to see Daniel Berger get hot.  I want a young team.

Good ol' Phil has cooled off and is slowly slipping in the ranking.  Can he rely on yet another captain's pick?

Read the fine print. Under the new system, Phil gets picked before the 8 points leaders.

swing is irrelevant, score is everything

just say NO.... to practice swings

Phil will make the team if heís in the top 12. No way he gets passed over. And heíll almost certainly get picked if heís 13th. But it will be fun to see Furyk squirm if Phil is 14th and Tiger 15th.

If Phil and Tiger are healthy and have some form, they are on the team. The other two picks look to be a tough call right now, but plenty of time to change.

Over in Europe, Sergio now needs a captains pick. If Olesen gets in via the European list, then one of Garcia, Casey, Poulter and Stenson is out.

I would think phil, wise, Webb would have to make the team with a win this season. Curious if another player wins but stays out of top 8, will they skip someone with a win for tiger (assuming he doesn't win)?

Agreed, but how many guys do you think Furyk and the PGA big heads will be willing to pass over for Phil and/or Tiger? One for sure, maybe two. But if Tiger is 16th in the standings will they still pick him? (And would the answer be different if this was a US-hosted year?)

Casey is the easy guy to leave out for the Euros. Nobody seems to like him, other than the sagarin rankings.

Bryson on the team -> bigger European chances. His intelligent mind will overthink  situations when Ryder Cup pressure comes. And he is not used to that yet.

What would better prepare him for the Ryder Cup? Actually, what is ideal preparation for the Ryder Cup? When is one "ready?"

He won the NCAA title (stroke), US Amateur (match), John Deere (stroke) and now a PGA Tour playoff (essentially match). Different formats, same result- win.

When do you "get used" to winning?

I donít envy the Captains positions this year, especially Furyk. The 10-16 guys are almost interchangeable. Im sure it would break some unwritten rule, but I would consider pairing up the 10-16 guys and have a one day mini Ryder Cup shortly before teams are announced. The two winners make the team.

I like it.  Six of the eight qualified Americans are in their 20's, but the first three non-qualifiers (currently) are older guys ... Mickelson, Kuchar and Simpson.

We need Berger, Schauffele and Cantlay to get red hot and soon, and it would be cool to see the young Aaron Wise win again soon.  Berger is the two time defending champ at this week's Memphis stop.  Hopefully, he'll get a shot of inspiration. :)
