Tiger likes to play around with a lot of his fellow pros equipment as of late. Nice to see him more relaxed with his competitors

Got excited when i saw the headline “Tiger hitting DeChambeau”

What a huge letdown when I found out it was his irons.

This will probably start trending on Twitter. When all is said and done, Tiger will have switched to Cobra and hired DeChambeau as his new swing coach.

How long before we see the thread entitled..."Tiger moving to single length irons..."

And then TM comes out with a new product line and sales go through the ROOF.

The December 2018 GolfWRX/TM trip is 7 WRX'ers get fit for single length irons...you heard it here first...or 29th.

Wow! Those things are so wonky Tiger completely missed the ball!
It's still sitting on the tee.
WITB | Courses Played list | How to leave feedback

"I don't agree 100% with your analysis.  Yes, it's nice to hole out, which I did twice during last weeks game, but didn't need either to win those holes or the match.   All that was needed was a tap in to win each hole.  Of course, I was aiming from 20yds and 15yds with the intent to put the ball in the hole, but the expectation was tap-ins." I often wonder how good  BDC could have been if he had just played regular clubs. He’s obviously quite talented.

I think his obsession with plane and doing equipment “his way” has really harmed his potential. My 2 cents.

Can't tell which one (number looks a little like a 2 or 3), but I agree. Sole is too wide (and finish too dark) to be the Bryson's irons.

Indeed. Except that side of Tiger's spirit is his dark side. Joey should have taken that club, snapped it in half, and tossed the remnants far down-range. After lighting them on fire.

Yeah.  I suppose.  Im being serious though. I  honestly think all the time and energy trying to do something that he’s  convinced himself is scientifically a good idea but in actual practice is not, has stunted his development as a golfer.  I really think he’d probably be better if he had just accepted traditional equipment and focused all his talent on mastering it for the last 5 or 6 years.

The experimentation with all the putters, the giant grips, the incredibly upright lie angles. I know he firmly believes in what he’s doing, but sometimes very smart people are simply wrong and very stubborn about it.

Just throwing out an opinion.  I think his conviction that “everyone else is doing it wrong and I’m going to prove it” is a serious mistake and also a display of his rather sizable ego. Ties in a little bit to his nasty tantrum at Pebble on the other thread.

I often wonder how good  BDC could have been if he had just played regular clubs. He’s obviously quite talented.

I think his obsession with plane and doing equipment “his way” has really harmed his potential. My 2 cents.

Man, that is a tough stance.  He's still quite young and not many golfers have the resume Bryson has let alone golfers his age.

Yeah.

Not that I agree or disagree, but investing a huge amount of time/effort/money into something like he has builds an enormous reluctance to change. I’m sure most everyone here has heard of the sunk cost fallacy.

On the other hand, we’re talking about a US AM champ, NCAA champ, and PGA Tour winner. If things click, the kid could go on a heck of a run I bet
