Curious to know others thoughts on having the shaft leaning towards the target at address or set up.  I've recently noticed this is something I've had the tendency to do ever since beginning golf.  Below are a few examples of what I'm talking about.  Are there any negatives or drawbacks as to why someone shouldn't have shaft lean at address?  Or, is it a non factor and more cosmetic?

The following is not a tip or advice:

The more shaft lean I have at address, the more likely I am to hit a draw, pull, or hook. But even playing the ball forward in my stance, I will usually have some forward shaft lean with any shot I play.

There's an old video on youtube of Tiger Woods hitting practice shots with a hat cam that shows he also has shaft lean at address.

I tried it myself and found that it encourages hitting down on the ball, which for me gained a lot of distance and a more penetrating ball flight.

I also found, like the 2nd post, that I tended to close the club face a lot faster, sometimes too fast.  But I didn't mind that I was doing that because my bad shots were usually a weak push fade.

Also, if you look at Henrik Stenson, who's considered an excellent ball striker, he has shaft lean at address and presses his hands forward as a trigger to start his swing. Dustin Johnson also appears to do the same thing for his trigger.

^^^  Very true.  I forgot to mention Henrik and DJ.  Both have that forward press and position their shafts with additional lean prior to starting their backswings.

This guy is really good.  Breaks down the swing well.

A small amount at address is fine. Any more and you will likely take the club back hooded and pull hook everything
