Between this and Bryson DeChambeau's reported behavior at Pebble on Sunday, it looks like we've got a nice little generation of millenials who are finding life on the real world side of the fence a little tougher than when they were in college when they were the big fish in small ponds and treated like kings in their castles.

This is the generation of young people that are entering the professional ranks in other fields as well, not just sports.  I weep for the future.
Give me a break dude. Let me guess, you're a baby boomer?

Baby boomers can't wash their hands fast enough of the generation they brought into this world.

Not true. I have met some stellar human beings who happen to be millennials.

I know some wonderful baby boomers as well.  Sorry for flying off the handle guys - I'm willing to be reasonable.  There are plenty of good people to go around.

Coming from someone whoís actually spent time with him in person and competed against heís not a bad guy. Just had a bad day and aired some thoughts out publicly that he shouldíve kept to himself. Heís human. I know for a fact if we all published our thoughts we would all look like terrible human beings when taking one thought out of context. Let him learn with out applying a permanent label to his name. My 2Ę
Enjoy the chase.

Imagine how different all this talk of McCoy could be if he had just given away his stupid hat, ball, glove, shirt, shoes, whatever.... Dude had a chance to be known as someone who would literally give you the shirt off his back and blew it.

If I was in his position, I would have had no issue walking out of there in my underwear.

Boy done f*cked up!!!!

This all may be true and I always agree, we don't know if this is who he really is or if it was just a bad day, but unfortunately... what's the saying??  You only get one chance to make a first impression....  These kinds of situations are where people are assigned a public persona whether we like it or not.  It's only up to him to take advantage of or blow it, and he really blew it.  Had he not taken to Twitter, it would most likely have never even been talked about, but he brought it to himself which, if possible, is even poorer character.

An autograph and respect is all anyone should ask for. Anything else is icing on the cake. Hats, gloves, shirts? Thats a little much. Just politely sign and give a ball for those kids that get a little pushy.  I remember as a kid following Johnny Miller. He walked by and looked over at my brother and I and smiled. That is all we needed. Have told that story many times.

While I agree we are all humans and make mistakes, this wasnt something he said that looks bad said out of context. He decided to rant on one of the most public stages possible about the most first world problems one could think of

Complaining that children in a developing nation were asking for stuff when he is being highly paid to chase a little white golf ball around? Asking for stuff that he was likely given for free or even paid to wear?

I'm not sure people really "grow out" of this type of selfish elitism unless this was his first time out of the US and the first time eating with anything else but a silver spoon

Not excusing anything but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he has never been exposed to that level of poverty. I donít think that is so much a result of him being raised at the club as the fact we just donít see it here. We donít have that kind of poverty here and the problems we have they try to keep it away from PGA events. I donít know anything about this foregn campaign they are running but if I had anything to do with it, it might be wise to have an orientation of some sort just so everyone knows what they are signing up for. Again not excusing, just trying to understand what might give the players some insight so they can better represent themselves and the tour.

We actually have plenty of poverty here, bone crushing poverty actually. It may not be as widespread but it certainly exists, but you are right he more likely than not has rarely been exposed to it.

But you are right, some sort of how to be a decent human being and not come across as a rich elitist dbag  type of training might go a long way. Maybe even charter buses and have players get tours of the local ghettos
