Not saying this is McCoy as I don't do twitter but alot of these young hotshots out of college do seem entitled on the Web Tour.  They often act like they are doing everyone a favor being there.  Beau Hossler last season was one of the very few that seemed genuinely nice and appreciative.

I personally root for the journeyman Ted Potter types on that tour.
It was funny on GC they said his caddy does not want anyone taking Potter anywhere near a gym.

There has always been an inverse correlation between volume and sensibility. These forums give the loudest a platform to share their idiocy. I think of it as a positive, those who use these things have nowhere to hide.

Between this and Bryson DeChambeau's reported behavior at Pebble on Sunday, it looks like we've got a nice little generation of millenials who are finding life on the real world side of the fence a little tougher than when they were in college when they were the big fish in small ponds and treated like kings in their castles.

This is the generation of young people that are entering the professional ranks in other fields as well, not just sports.  I weep for the future.

Baby boomers can't come to grips with the fact that they destroyed our country after the greatest generation handed it to them on a silver platter, and now the generation they brought in has to deal with it. But the funny thing is, you hear way more people bitching about millennials then millennials bitching about them.

Well, that's a good point. As the estimable Johnny Cochran told the jury while defending O.J. regarding the DNA evidence, "Everybody got DNA!"

A true douchebag. He's bitching about KIDS asking for free stuff from him... that he got for free. I hope his sponsors all drop him.

I'm sure I'd feel the same way about those kids, 100% agree with Lee, but to my old boomer mind, and before I forget and move on to another thread, Oh, yes, I would never announce this complaint list to the public.  Why oh Why do the young uns shoot themselves on social media ?  Save it for the tent, or the bar or health bar, or locker room, preferably when back in USA.  Better yet don't attend next year.  Typical PGA tour B#llshit, yeah let's grow the sport and send the rookies south of the border and 'grow the sport'... it will be fun for all (of our corporate "partners"), I mean the (in need) communities that benefit SO much every week. ZZZzzzz LOLOLOL....

Give me a break dude. Let me guess, you're a baby boomer?

Baby boomers can't wash their hands fast enough of the generation they brought into this world.
I am extremely proud of my son.

I will veer off just a bit to say the high and mighty comments from Flesch and others comes off a little cheap as well. Why not save the Holy Me tweets and just contact the kid personally if you have sincere words of wisdom? What did these tweets tell us we didn't already know? I'm sure he knows now too. Does anyone think Jack would tweet such things as Flesch? Don't think so.

I'd agree had this been an on the course issue that Flesch observed. Instead, McCoy made his comments on a public forum. That deserves a public response. Maybe next time he'll use social media a bit less flippantly. Talk about life lessons.

"Deserves a public response" ?  Nonsense. He got his response because, well,  he opened himself to the ridicule.  His ridiculous comments did not obligate Flesch to make a comment. Flesch was not doing anyone any favors. He wasn't attacked personally.  Keep in mind I am saying by going on social media Flesch makes himself to look like a fool. If he really cared about the kid he would have kept it private.

Respectfully disagree. Flesch is a seasoned pro and no doubt has been in the same situation McCoy was many times. Flesch's tweet was measured and intelligent, and appears to have been intended to offer the sort of life lesson McCoy claimed he was giving the kids. Oh, and by the way, after deleting his Twitter account, McCoy has since offered a full and unreserved apology, as he should have.

You mean you don't remember the 2-hour low speed white Bronco chase? That was the most bizarre two hours of television I have ever seen. Fun trivia fact: That day, June 17, 1994, was the date Arnold Palmer played his final round in the U.S. Open at Oakmont.

I don't specifically remember watching the slow-speed chase the same way I remember when the verdict was read.  I would have to imagine that watching such an anticlimactic chase on TV for two hours must have been pretty bizarre.

Back to the topic of this thread.  McCoy screwed up big time regarding how social media should or should not be used.  He did himself no favors but hopefully this will be a defining moment of his early twenties for the positive.

We will just have to disagree. Itís not like he finished a round and half a dozen mics were nagging him for his thoughts. No, he went out of his way to post on his twitter account whereas everybody but one or two kept it to themselves. What was his motive for this? Was he elected the man of reason and fairness? McCoy knew he goofed, he didnít need to hear it from a veteran on twitter. Lets hope he learns from it.

No.
McCoy did not know he goofed. A goof is one off hand comment. Not 3 or 4 thought out tweets. He deserves the repercussions. I always knew something about McCoy was off with me, ever since Valspar final round.
He can't just say a comment (s), apologize (weak one at that) and then want it to be all good in 10 minutes. Face the music, learn a "life lesson" that he seems to like to give out.

Twitter wars get too much attention. The Twitter inventors are sitting back in their chair laughing their rears off on the chaos their invention has created.

Between Twitter and FaceBook I think the "national IQ" is dropping. lol
There has always been an inverse correlation between volume and sensibility. These forums give the loudest a platform to share their idiocy. I think of it as a positive, those who use these things have nowhere to hide.

And share it they do.
