Surprised I haven't see a topic on this yet after his now deleted tweets about his time in Columbia this week.

Here's an article with the tweets.

http://www.golfwrx.c...during-tourney/

http://www.golfchann...ds-crowd-tweet/

It all come across as quite entitle to meand the being on suicide watch after getting down in 4 from 20 yards doesn't seem to be the smartest thing to say on twitter.

Hes since deleted his account as well.

Not a thread but a few posts in another thread touched upon it. McCoy comes off as quite a tool.

Not very professional words for a pro being at Web.com tournament.

Today it took me 4 shots to get up/down from a greenside bunker on the 18th. I must be on suicide watch. Haha.

Grim behaviour from self entitled guy who has probably spent his entire life thinking he is better than everyone else because he is pretty good at hitting a white ball into a hole.

On one hand, I think it’s despicable for someone from my country to complain about the poverty of another country. We are very fortunate and should pay respect to that fortune accordingly by being a good steward in the presence of other cultures.

On the other hand, because of his play, he’s probably thinking he is at risk of losing his sponsors and might not want to give away his stuff if he can’t get it for free much longer.

The silver lining is that financial advisers don’t have to worry about getting up and down from 20 yards for a paycheck, and can purchase more shoes. Someone tell him it’s okay to give away his free stuff, if not, don’t talk about it.

The saying about how golf reveals the true character of people also holds true for social media. Not sure how any adults would think tweets like those McCoy sent out would be well received. My respect for Stephen Bowditch rises every time his name pops up. Handles a long rough patch of bad golf with dignity, and his sense of humor is commendable. Love his initial tweet, then his response to being blocked by McCoy.

Not saying this is McCoy as I don't do twitter but alot of these young hotshots out of college do seem entitled on the Web Tour.  They often act like they are doing everyone a favor being there.  Beau Hossler last season was one of the very few that seemed genuinely nice and appreciative.

I personally root for the journeyman Ted Potter types on that tour.

I will veer off just a bit to say the high and mighty comments from Flesch and others comes off a little cheap as well. Why not save the Holy Me tweets and just contact the kid personally if you have sincere words of wisdom? What did these tweets tell us we didnít already know? Iím sure he knows now too. Does anyone think Jack would tweet such things as Flesch? Donít think so.

Between this and Bryson DeChambeau's reported behavior at Pebble on Sunday, it looks like we've got a nice little generation of millenials who are finding life on the real world side of the fence a little tougher than when they were in college when they were the big fish in small ponds and treated like kings in their castles.

This is the generation of young people that are entering the professional ranks in other fields as well, not just sports.  I weep for the future.

I'm sure our parents wept for the future, too (I'll be 60 in a couple of months & I know my Dad did). It's a pretty broad brush to paint all millennials with. My son is 28 & I can tell you he isn't your stereotypical millennial, neither are a lot of his friends.

I think stereotyping is generally a bad idea, whether it's racial, political, generational or any other type. Lee McCoy said something stupid & compounded it because he published it. If he's a tool, he's a tool because of what he did, not because he's a millennial. He's just a tool who happens to be a millennial. Hopefully he learns from it.

ďDeserves a public responseĒ ?  Nonsense. He got his response because, well,  he opened himself to the ridicule.  His ridiculous comments did not obligate Flesch to make a comment. Flesch was not doing anyone any favors. He wasnít attacked personally.  Keep in mind I am saying by going on social media Flesch makes himself to look like a fool. If he really cared about the kid he would have kept it private.

They created the millennials but did not create an economy for them to be successful in.

Did millennials create their own economy? Iím not sure what you mean. I donít foresee any millennials lining up to be fans of McCoy
