Has anyone been on a launch monitor and compared wedge shafts for lowering launch?
I can hit low wedge shots if i trap it but looking to lower my average height on stock wedge shots.

My wedges have s200 and looking at both kbs 610 and dg spinner plus shafts. I had a glide with 6.0 project x and remember that launching lower than my current wedges.

What shafts do you play in your irons? And how is the flight with those?

Currently play srixon 745 with s300. 2 capp hit 7iron 172. Im going to be switching too an x stiff. A swing change has me hitting everything much higher (think jason day swing but less violent) Looking at modus 120 x project x 6.5 and kbs c taper.

FWIW 120x plays softer than the other two mentioned by a good amount.

With that SS and cap Id try out the tour issue s400 that like 90% of people on tour play.

Due to the shorter lengths and slower swing speeds,  the shaft profile doesn't really contribute very much directly to the dynamic loft as it might in the longer clubs (even if you have the swing for it).   For the wedge shafts, shaft weight (and swing weight) are by far the more dominant shaft specs to pay attention to.  The only influence the stiffness profile might be is for someone very sensitive to the feel of the shaft.  And both those are extremely subjective so LM data from any other player isn't really going to help you.  Unfortunately it's something you're going to have to go do your own tests to get any kind of answer.

Seems like it. Ive searched for data on it but no luck. I had a short stint with the dg spinners and remember them flighting lower on half swings than my s200. Just hoping some one has played both the spinner and kbs 610 and could compare.

I haven't hit other wedge shafts to compare numbers, but I play S400s in my wedges and couldn't be happier.

Like you, I much prefer low traj with my wedges.  I never hit full wedge shots either (usually 80-85% max), except for a rare downwind 50*.  Here are my averages for my last ten shots with my stock (85%) 54*:

Carry Dist.
94

Club Speed
68

Ball Speed
81

Spin (rpm)
8849

Launch Ang.
30.3

Height (ft)
72

For reference, my 6-iron swing speed is 91, and my driver swing speed is 106.

After watching a bunch of track man videos i believe 30 degree launch is the ideal number they look for. Maybe ill give those a shot.
