Would you like to bet on that? I'm not saying he's the next tiger but to think he's in any danger of ever losing his card is insane.

Dude has 4 top 25s in 7 events before this week and won a tour event just in July
Should we quote Dottie pepper, " sorry, I meant full field event..."

Lol I kid I kid

Haha. It was the John Deere but as far as keeping a card it's still a tour event

Certainly the strangest response I've seen today and that's saying something.

Might not be too far off.  Remember the sad tale of Bert Yancy?

I'll stand by it, We've seen peoples games go to shambles in a year. I think 5 years is a safe bet. Not that I hope it happens, I would never wish any failure upon the guy. He just can't get out of his own way/head. He's just a headcase

Dude probably doesnt have full-time status this year without pulling that 65 out of his a** on Sunday during last year's John Deere to win it.  I believe he missed 8 straight cuts at one point last spring/summer.

Bryson is another in a long line of millennial athletes who found the going easy as youngsters, but are now getting reality slapped in the face to them in the real world and they have to work for what they get.  And they find out nobody feels sorry for them.  Some guys pick it up and handle it....some guys dont.  Looks like Bryson falls in the latter category.

Its too much for anyone to handle long term and under the pressures of the tour. With that much talent why was he lead down that path? His approach to the game is a freakshow. I know that is strong but how many of these experiments will ever make it at the highest level. For a game that requires so much mental effort, it’s a wonder he ever got this far.

Yeah they're about to get that Tiger Slap!  Tiger is going to come back and show everyone what pressure is.
I loved how Phil was making a comeback yesterday at Pebble.  He's like "If you guys don't want to win, then I will take this sucker!"

I don't agree or condone Bryson's behavior but I'm not sure I agree with this statement at all.  Millennial or not, Bryson won the United States Amateur Championship and the NCAA individual title in the same year.  I'm fairly certain that Bryson is in-touch with the realities of competitive golf.  I don't think Bryson is asking for sympathy from anyone either.  He just doesn't handle his emotions very well.

Handling your emotions is probably the #1 "reality" of competitive golf.

You dont start burning bridges now at this stage in your career by acting like a complete tool on the golf course, especially to volunteers and tournament employees.  What if next season when his exemption ends that he's not playing well enough to earn full status the following year?  He's then writing tournament committees for sponsor exemptions.  And they remember stuff like this.  Bryson is lucky none of this found a TV screen.

I think he has game. He is a US Amateur Champion and a tour winner. He’s only 24 so lots of time to develop. The humorous thing is he was playing with Bubba Watson who is famous for his outbursts. Someone here said it right in that Bryson needs to work on his feel around the greens, especially putting. Also hopefully someone he respects will pull him aside, whether it’s his dad, his coach or a close friend and help him get his emotions under control.

We might be arguing two different things here.  I agree that Bryson shouldn't have done that.  I also agree that its unprofessional and might hurt him in the future (sponsors).

Lots of people, at times more so than others, have not handled emotions properly.  Bryson is far from the first pro to do this.  But I don't think Bryson is "a millennial that had it easy".  I don't think anyone handed him the AM or handed him the NCAA or handed him the JD.  He fought for those against some stout competition to be sure.

I dont agree in the sense that he's literally autistic.

Is he "autistic" in a common parlance way? Sure seems so. Rigid thinking, obsessed with routines, tinkering, socially awkward. And in that case it's actually very cool (and fun) to bully him. Maybe he will tone it down to the benefit of everyone, especially the children, watching him at events.

I wish someone in the gallery had captured his meltdown on their phone, that video would be a classic.

I believe Aspergers is probably more his condition if we are looking at the spectrum.

Sounds like Bryson had a case of the Mondays last week at Pebble.

A guy going rage mode doesn't mean he has a condition, just means he didn't care that other people saw him acting like a jack a$$ and he thought no one would take notice.  Pretty sure every athlete has had a tool moment.

I was really surprised that it took until nova6868 at post #76 for anyone to agree with Hawkeye.  “Literally autistic” isn’t a useful distinction.  The spectrum is just that. Where Asbergers ends and Autism begins is a source of much confusion and debate. I’ve known people who acted out like Bubba and Bryson and despised them until I figured out what was going on.  That doesn’t excuse the outburst, however, and his management team needs to work with him on coping skills and strategies to handle situations like that more gracefully. I really hate seeing a marshall  abused.  But, the usual preponderance of judgmental, get-off-my-lawn, soft millennial responses is kind of sad.

They showed his meltdowns on Friday's TV coverage. For a few holes in a row he was making poor shots, throwing his putter to his caddie off the greens and pouting after every "bad break" worse than Rahm. Looked like he was gonna cry. I think that's why they stopped showing him on the weekend. He was also wearing a bowling shirt looking like Charlie Sheen from Two and a Half Men show. He also ruined my DK fantasy picks.

And the millennial comments? Played out. Especially if they're coming from a baby boomer.
