Interesting that he’s in the same stable as Rickie.  So different..  Rickie couldn’t be more perfect for young fans and generally all around pleasant.

most likely it comes down to parenting (at a young age), at least imo.

Point blank this kid is wrong for those actions. I've played at every level in golf. High school, college, few mini tour events and anyone out there helping support the tournaments are doing it for nothing. I was a div 1 college coach and I pulled a player mid round in a tourney for ripping another player in his group for an honest mistake that my player didn't like.

If you make millions of dollars playing a game we all love and do for fun and have never grinded out a blue collar job just to afford golf clubs and green fees then take a long walk off a short pier my friend.

The young guys in tour have made a great image for young  golfers and they work hard to grow the game. Someone will come along and put him in his place or soon enough he will be teaching out of a shed somewhere to hisself

Honestly a few groups later along comes Jordan Spieth. Big smile, making conversation with his playing partners. I知 not the biggest Jordan fan but I appreciated what he brings to the table much more today.

YJS was talking trash to Wayne on Saturday when they were on 18.  Wayne was right next to us for his 3rd from the right side of the fairway.  He hit the green but was probably at least 30' away for birdie.  As YJS was walking to play his own 3rd shot he yelled across the fairway to Wayne "Nice, you have an outside chance at bird!" with a rye smile on his face.

And I知 sure Jordan had much more reason to be irritable than deshampoo does.  His putting right now is cringe worthy.  But we don稚 see him cuss out marshallls for it.  If I知 his caddy his jacket would still be laying wherever he threw it.  I wouldn稚 ever have looked at it.  Plausible deniability.  If I didnt see it how could I pick it up ?

This is exactly why I enjoy going to events. Yes it's fun watching the golf but it's also a unfiltered glimce into the players. I know it's there office, yada yada but there's definitely distinct differences. BB

You got me on this one, blade.  LOL.  Me thinks plausible deniability as a caddie wouldn't get you far.  Based on this comment, my advice is to NOT become a looper.

I really like watching the pga tour live coverage.  You get to watch most if not all of a group's round and you really get to see their ups and downs of a round and how they behave.  A lot different than shot only approach of the regular simulcast.

Speaking to this - Adam Scott and Nick Watney were true examples of professionalism.  We followed them most of Saturday and they behaved as true pros.  This included Scott hitting a crap tee shot on #1 (bad start) and Watney missing a 1 footer....

You know, he’s always been the smartest person in the room, and in high school and college he was pretty much always the best golfer on the course.

I think his giant ego may be having a really tough time accepting that he actually may never be better than mediocre on the tour.

This crappy attitude started last year.  I think he’s actually  starting to freak out that he’s not as good as he imagined he would be. We might witness a full blown breakdown at some point.

Most likely it already has.

His playing partner was Ms. Lori Lee CEO AT&T International.

Of course she will not trash him in public but you can be sure she has made some note of the situation.

Not usually good for PR.

Absolutely  no excuse - ever. If he cannot comport himself, he should get a job in the Pro Shop folding cardigans.

Lots of other people would give their right arm to do something they love and get paid for it. Memo to BdS - suck it up Princess.

These threads are always good for a laugh. Yes I知 sure all the kids at the course are now going to go home and smash clubs and curse at anyone and everyone on the course because they saw a guy have a rough go at it.

Oh noez the childrens! Pathetic OP.

There are no shortage of egos on the tours.  I got paired with a former Ryder Cupper once in Napa at a Champions Tour event on a Wednesday.  The guy hit it all over the place but had an incredible short game; chipped in once and holed a bunker shot.  He shot 3 under and I calculated he hit 6 greens and maybe 3 or 4 fairways.  After the round I said "man, great playing; you are the up and down king".  He looked at me with a stone cold face and said; "what, you don't think I'm a good shot maker?".  i gave him a compliment. He was dead serious and he marched off po-ed and didn't even show up to eat with us at the Pro-Am dinner.  Everyone else had their pro there.  What a sensitive little p***k.

These threads are always good for a laugh. Yes I知 sure all the kids at the course are now going to go home and smash clubs and curse at anyone and everyone on the course because they saw a guy have a rough go at it.

Oh noez the childrens! Pathetic OP.

Bryson has a decent following of younger golfers. I watched him for at least part of 3 different rounds and there was always at least a few kids weAring the Hogan caps and following him hole to hole. He is also fairly young at 24 which makes him more identifiable to the younger set.
Rickie Fowler and Justin Spieth probably both have a bigger following of kids at least at this point. Kids are impressionable at early ages and looking for role models. Of course this starts at home. The next tier down would usually be someone who they admire in an activity they are interested in.
So your a parent who takes your kid out to watch an athlete he is interested in. On one hole he sees that person
Use profanity- maybe not acceptable but in reality most people do swear.
Smash a club into the concrete- again maybe not acceptable but it happens.
Berate a marshal- not acceptable to treat others with disrespect, he痴 helping you with your job for free.
Disrespect his caddie- not acceptable. The caddie does get paid to do his job but shouldn稚 have to be subjected to treatment that is demeaning to his character.
As a parent I知 definitely going to discuss these behaviors with my child after he witnessed them and most likely not continue to watch someone who acts in this manner. Call it pathetic if you wish.

Give it 5 years...I'd be surprised if he is still around

Would you like to bet on that? I'm not saying he's the next tiger but to think he's in any danger of ever losing his card is insane.
