I have heard that it's a great course! Sounds fun. I think we'll do the par 3 our final day before flying out.
Would you have any other recommendations for traditional courses?

Thank you! I am going to reserve both courses. The other names I have been hearing about are Sand Hill Crane, Madison Green and Atlantis. After North Palm and Abacoa would you recommend any of those? I would probably just choose one more as we plan on also playing the par 3. Thanks so much!
Iím not a fan of Madison Green. Funky design and I havenít had good conditioning experiences there. Sandhill Crane is usually in good shape, but there are a few funky holes. Atlantis is a fun course. Great greens, a bit short, but a lot of challenge. That would be my choice of the theee.
West Palm muni is a great layout and one of my favorites in the area, but their sprinkler system broke recently and the conditions are horrendous. Hardly a spot in the fairway with grass, Iíd avoid it for sure. Over run with sand in the fairways. Sad, because itís a fun course to play.

West Palm IMO is the best public LAYOUT in South Florida...terrific. But in the worst shape I have ever seen on the fairways. Greens fine, but, the huge sand waste areas buried the course in IRMA and hurt the turf badly, or so I'm told? hope they can turn it around. Do not recommend
Our winter place is in Abacoa--it is in terrific condition right now. Greens excellent. The course itself has a lot of redundant holes--big brawny Florida course by Joe Lee. A bit overpriced, but you aren't playing it everyday, so it would still top my list.
Sandhill Crane very good, PB par 3 a "don't miss". North PB very good but I'm not a Nicklaus fan.
South if you want a bit of drive, I recommend Osprey Point in the Boca area.
Finally, not necessarily one of my top 2-3, but if you want a "value" round, look up Atlantic National, which I think is another good layout in Lake Worth. I enjoy the course (not as good a shape as Abacoa or Osprey) but can usually find deals on the golf websites

Donít be fooled by the yardages on the card. It plays alot tougher than it sounds. Course management is a must!
Fairways are lush and the greens are fast.
The PB par 3 is a rip to play, especially if the weather is good. Great views on both sides(ocean and intercostal).
Abacoa is excellent as is Osprey Point.
North a bit is Hammock Creek, Lost Lakes and Champions at Summerfield. All excellent tracks!

100 percent agree on Seminole, it'll be nice to showcase it though in 2021 for the Walker Cup. Then everyone will be able to see it.

Pine Tree is an awesome track and definitely worth a go if you know the right folks. Have five or so rounds under my belt there this year and enjoyed them all. Great atmosphere too.

Apology for highjacking original topic a bit, but after my negative current review on the West Palm Beach course conditions, I did think it fair to share that I read that there will be a major restoration project coming. Headed by John Sanford, it would restore the Dick Wilson original, replace the vast sandy areas with natural waste areas, etc. Sounds fantastic, hope it comes off, and turns out well.
