I own a few Mission Belts that I purchased over the last couple of years. The quality just seems lacking. However, they aren't expensive - so I can't complain much.

Anyone have any feedback to offer for other ratcheting belts like Slidebelt and Nexbelt? I'm looking for some basic colors with a stiffer leather that feels a little more sturdy.

Ive had 1 slidebelt for about a year. Still looks good but the leather doesn’t seem to be great quality either. Seems kind of flimsy/not stiff.

Nexbelts are very nice to me.  Good leather and quality construction.  Not super high end, but a good solid belt.

Are you kidding.  I love my white belt.  It has the rhinestone buckle and a hidden rhinestone covered ball mark inside.  Gotta have some bling!

No feedback on those companies but I will complain about mission. I am a little disappointed. Not pricy but mechanism stopped working within a year. I thought I was going to have to cut of off me once. Others times won’t stay latched. Annoying.

I’ve had a nextbelt for 3 years now. I got it as a tee up gift and wasn’t exactly happy about it either because I thought it was just a gimmick. Now, I have 3 of them and can’t say a bad thing about them.  My buddy’s mechanism broke in a little over a year but he wore it almost every day.

Have had a Nexbelt for about a year—I’m a fan.  Seems to be holding up well, and is definitely the first belt I reach for when I’m headed out to the golf course.

Agreed on Anson belts.

Was given a Nextbelt and it was nice, just preferred the thinner and more supple Anson belt.  I ordered the faux croc with chrome golf buckle on a Sunday, it was shipped free the next day and rec'd on Weds.

Not sure how it'll last as I've only had it a month, but wear it every day and love it so far.

I looked into ratchet belts and found that many of the “leather” ones were “animal friendly “ which is vinyl. Need to read the fine print.

I’ve ruined 2 pair of shorts with my mission belt.   They’ll bleed all over your shorts in the summer if you’re sweating. The stains will not come out.

Nexbelts are great.  Picked one up at a pro shop to burn some tournament winnings last year and subsequently acquired a few other straps from my club pro shop- only belts I wear for golf now.  The dial in a perfect fit.  Of course the "quality" is not the same as custom $300 belts, but seem to hold up very well and just as good as most golf fashion brand belts.  I've stopped stressing over leather quality as it is all crap IMO and nobody cares out on the course.

Nexbelts are awesome.  I picked my first one up on a whim at the 2014 BMW here in Denver.  I now have 8 straps and a number of buckles.  Love them!

Another fan of the nextbelts.  I got two for Christmas (Black and Brown Croc) and wear them daily to work and on the course.  They replaced a brown and black croc belt from jos a banks that I have had for 4ish years and I am happy thus far.  I cannot speak to the longevity due to only having them 2 months but I am very pleased with them.  As others have said they are not your P Gibbons or Piedmont Leather belts but they are a nice looking belt (on and off course) for a very reasonable cost.

I've had a couple slide belts for about 6 months now (1 black and 1 brown).  Very happy with both and both look like new still.  Wear them for work, golf and everything else.  Just make sure you pay attention to which belt you are getting as others have said there a lot of options from cheap to higher end stuff.

I have a Puma ratchet belt that I've had for a couple years and still looks new. It isn't leather, some sort of pressed fabric. I love the look and the versatility of not having to worry about notches fitting.

Huge fan of the ratchet style belts!  Actually can't recommend this brand enough: https://www.amazon.c...e?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have one that I've worn to work with jeans basically every day since I got it 8 months ago and it still looks brand new.  Really reasonable price, no failures on the ratchet system and tons of color/buckle combos.

I got a Nextbelt as a tee prize.  Nice belt, very comfortable, but a bit on the heavy side.  I'd prefer a lighter buckle without the magnetic ballmark holder.  Maybe I'm OCD, but I like to have my ballmarker in my right hand pocket (along with one long tee, one short tee and a repair tool).  I feel off-balance otherwise.
