I was just wondering if anyone has compared the accuracy of The Grint’s gps to something like a gps watch or laser rangefinder that they know is accurate and how it compares? Thanks!

I use it often, and it's as accurate as any other phone app I've used. It's usually within a few yards of my laser, especially if you give it time (15: seconds) to better calibrate where you are, which I think is just as much a phone thing as it is the app.

Most phones should be accurate to within 3-5 yards. My swing isn't accurate enough to take advantage of the extra accuracy of a laser, so I just use an app. Later this year the broadcomm GPS chip should start making it into some phones which will have 1 ft of accuracy.

I've only used it a handful of times so far, but compared to a laser it's accurate to within a couple yards. it does give front, middle, and back distances to the green plus the ability to move the pin around on the map which is a nice feature. With these capabilities I can get it as accurate as needed for my game. Definitely worth giving it a go and seeing what you think. As a previous poster mentioned it takes a little bit of time to determine your location and provide the distance, but honestly not any more time consuming than grabbing a laser out of the cart and shooting the pin in my opinion.
