For those who swear by this old girl, as I do. What did you finally replace it with, if you did

I still take mine out for a date sometimes.

Had several 440 cc to 460 cc. driver since, some for more forgiveness and some for the ease of changing/rotating shafts.  Hard to find the aluminium sleeve in the 905 head these days.

Have not gone the craze of TM M1/M2 just yet, Adams Speedline Tech is still the steady one in the bag.

915 d3. I wish it had the same alignment arrow. I like the black but it just doesn’t sound the same. I just put the ole Proforce V2 in the 915. Excited to hit it this weekend.

Went for a driver fitting and hit the G400 best. It sounded real nice.

Bridgestone J33 came out the same time. I looks awful pretty. 905R is one good looking club.   But for me it was a spin machine.  Bridgestone is a spin killer.   I have a 905S that has a  Blue Grafaloy pushed all the way thru and then tipped a bit .   Now that one is a spin killer.  I hit it once in a while.    I have a J33 that is 9.5 loft that I didnt tip for the high BBGM of the Bridgestone. It has xx flex Blue Grafaloy shaft in it.  Its 45.5 inches with a leather grip on it.  I was carrying it in the 280 or so range and getting roll out.   I tried the Super Deep by Taylor Made,  but all those changes.  I just like a driver that i know what its going to do.  Not one that I think I can make it do what i want.   After all its the Indian not the arrow.  I apologize to any Native American members.on here for that comment.

Still have my 905r as a backup, but seem to get rid of everything else.  Right now, I have a 917 D3 which is REALLY good, and I just got my hands on a 2016 M2 which I will take out tomorrow.  The 905 I keep for security purposes... it's not the longest for me but it sure likes to find the fairway... I can see myself going back to it full time but for now the 917 reigns.

I cracked the head of my 8.5 tour issued 905r. Moved on to an epic sz until I cracked the face after 3weeks. Currently I have a tw vapor speed that I had bent to 8 degrees and 3 degrees open. Head is similar looking.

Ping G400 LST 8.5   with a Hazrdus shaft.

I finally relented when the data showed I should.

I will probably never get rid of my 905 in 8.5.

I just sold mine (on the BST) and I instantly felt some serious remorse lol. Mine was in the bag for about 4 years before I switched to a TEE XCG Beta 7, and then ultimately a TM M1.

Still the pretiest looking driver I've ever seen
TM M1 2017 9.5* (Matrix Ozik Black Tie 70M4)
TM M2 3HL 16.5* (Mitsubishi Diamana Thump 65)

Played a 905R /w Proforce V2 for 8 years and replaced it 2 years ago with a 913d3. Ball speed and initial launch angle were similar but the 913d3 had significantly lower spin and resulted in a flatter overall ball flight.

Ive tried to replace it with a few different drivers...M1 (both years), 915 D3, 917 D3 and on and on.  I always seem to go back to it.  Kill it off the tee and I have yet to find a driver since that gives me the confidence with performance that the 905 does.

Still gaming my 905r with V2 stiff. Have had it since new but still in pretty mint condition. Nothing beats it at recent fittings, as much as I fancy a change...

Still using mine. I have several in different lofts and shafts. My favorite is a 10.5 with an NV in stiff.

You could put a Grafalloy blue in a wedge and keep the spin under 3000 RPM. Definitely not the shaft for everybody but they're money in the Titleist heads that people will claim "spin like tops".

I have good luck with tipped o.g. 73x whiteboards and 7.2 tour specs in any of those older heads. 905r, 983k and especially 983E. When Im swinging well the E is as good as it gets. I haven't been able to track down an older tour x grafaloy blue driver shaft. Closest I have come is a 6m3x tipped 1.5 inches.

Cobra LTD or LTD Pro.  Better feel, lower spin, and an F-ton of added forgiveness.  905R was the club that got me into the game.

Bio cell plus. I guess it's slightly more forgiving, but not much IMO. It's definitely lower spin, but I'm not sure that's a good thing. On a launch monitor the cobra was longer, but golf is played in a variety of conditions and my old 905r was more predictable honestly.
