Quick question. New or Used?

Thanks!

Like always, it is good to see we all can share our different opinions.

To me it looks like a PM with a short toe. Love the finish.

Just like some of their putters have looked like Odyssey models. Its funny, it used to be Callaway chasing TM it seems it has flipped.

I know Callaway is working on another PM, so can't wait to see the PM vs High-Toe.

On the heels of being sued by PXG for allegedly copying their irons, TaylorMade put this out.  Lol.  They are straight shameless with it.  But hey if it works I'll be the first to buy it.  Loved the PM but the late bounce was rough on full swings for me.

Anyone know how easy it will be to bend one of these?  I would like to crank the 58 down to 56.

The Hi-Toe just looks better than the PM grind to me at address.  Less offset, less hosel gooseneck, and straighter leading edge.  I like everything about it.

I will gladly trade in my 64*PM which I have used about 5 times for a new HiToe in 58*. I want something like this for bunker play and to hit full shots with. Love the straighter leading edge look.

I think this bottom pic of the Hi-Toe is DJ's version which is much straighter leading edge than the retail version, and he has had a bunch grounded off the sole.

That is far from what the retail version is going to look like.  Read this thread much more thoroughly.

lol....  im sure its a great wedge.. but how can you say " so much better than the pm wedge from grass"?    its literally the same wedge..

I'm guessing it's a sole grind thing. PM Grind Wedges had a lot of bounce in the back to help out of bunkers but sat very tight to the ground up near leading edge for some reason. Not great in certain conditions.

i played the pm grind for almost 24 months straight ...and may again when the new one comes out in the next 40 days...the grind on the hi-toe looks exactly like the stock PM grind.... a dual bounce sole just like you described.

New pm grind is coming?!

Yes sir.  It is.

I'll lleave you guys to the hi toe love.  Just hilarious how many threads there are on this , how great it is , and how awesome it looks.  When the pm came out it was " man that's ugly yardda yadda yadda"!     Tm reproduces it and it's " awesome from sand , and sooooo much better than pm from grass ".  Lol.  From grass !

No doubt the hi toe is a great wedge.  Just funny to watch how people's brand perceptions dictate how they like a particular design or look.

Or ya know we dont like rounded leading edges, offset and gooseneck hosels like the PM Grind has and the High toe doesnt

There really isn’t any offset. The leading edge is even with the hosel. It’s the rounded leading edge that gives the illusion of offset and gooseneck.  But yes very round leading edge.

Thanks for the link, didn't know it was on their site! Shame it has the same curved leading edge that the PM has. I'll pass.

Just curious why are people hating the roundish bottom? Is it more of just looks? Or is it a performance problem?

Mostly looks. It creates the appearance of offset and a gooseneck. Performance wise the straighter leading edge is better on full shots.

Ok that makes sense. I am torn between the high toe 58 or just getting the milled 58 low bounce. I think the high toe would be great around the green but wasn't sure how it would perform on full and 3/4 shots since my 58deg is basically a 100 yards an in. What is the disadvantage with the high toe on full shots? Tend to dig or more likely to blade it?

If you want a wedge like this why not just buy the Ping Eye2 XG?  These and PM Grinds are essentially rips off of that design with less forgiveness!

Wedges with a high toe tend to have a higher CG, so it can make it easier to flight the ball down on 3/4 to full shots. To me, that's an advantage that makes them very compelling.

If you want a wedge like this why not just buy the Ping Eye2 XG?  These and PM Grinds are essentially rips off of that design with less forgiveness!

The players for whom these style wedges are intended are usually not looking for forgiveness in their lob wedges.

Will TM bend the 58 to a 56 for me when my order is placed?  I’d rather then do it so I don’t have to take it to my fitter.

TM will bend them as much as 2* on custom orders. I thought about getting a 58* Hi-Toe but hitting my bronze MG wedges too good right now to change.

3* flat with a tour grind and and raw finish please!  ;)

It looks like the website will only let you bend a wedge 2* flat.  :(
