The new TayorMade High-Toe wedges are going to be available in 58, 60, and 64 and their release date is April 2018. Some have said March, but I was told by TM that it will be more likely closer to April.

These wedges have a variable bounce that is a lot like the ATV wedges and are perform great out of a multitude of different lies. They are only offered in this bronze finish which is just a plating similar to Beryllium Copper which enhances the feel. They are unreal out of the bunkers and even off of tight lies, but out of the bunkers they are like cheating. Guys that used to like playing the old Ping Eye lob wedge will really like these. Out of the bunkers they are similar to the Callaway Mack Daddy PM wedges, but they are much better than the PM wedges out of the grass. I think I am going to carry the MG wedges in 50 and 56 and then the High-Toe in the 60 and 64.

I'll be keeping my eye on BST/ebay for guys who spring for the $170 new then end up not liking it. Never used a wedge shape like this before so I don't want to take a big hit on buying one new if I end up not liking it.

that leading edge is def. something you have to get used to look at from address, my first thought when hitting them for the first time was "please don't blade it, please don't blade it"....but once you get pass that the wedge itself does perform quite well around the green and in the bunker.

Iím guessing itís a sole grind thing. PM Grind Wedges had a lot of bounce in the back to help out of bunkers but sat very tight to the ground up near leading edge for some reason. Not great in certain conditions.

i played the pm grind for almost 24 months straight ...and may again when the new one comes out in the next 40 days...the grind on the hi-toe looks exactly like the stock PM grind.... a dual bounce sole just like you described.

Regurgitating some feedback I saw in another thread here about how PM Grind wasn't great because of leading edge design/low leading edge, especially on longer shots. Perhaps TM tried to improve upon it since this one looks a little different near the leading edge at address. I haven't gotten to set a Hi Toe down yet.. it might look the same in photos but be slightly different in real life. Since OP is actually playing HiToe maybe he can chime in.

Man, I want one of those High Toes, but I'd rather spend $100 less and get a PM off of Callaway Preowned just to see if I like the idea.

I had  PM 64* and it was fun for chipping but I never used it for full swings, so might take a whirl on the 60* and play with that.

I agree, but you have to admit, the PM is an ugly duckling, the High Toe look prettier (at least to my eyes).

Wasn't it reported the retail version will come with a rounded leading edge and not straight like the dj version as seen above?

lol....  im sure its a great wedge.. but how can you say " so much better than the pm wedge from grass"? its literally the same wedge..

I'm guessing it's a sole grind thing.

New pm grind is coming?!

Yes sir.  It is.

I'll lleave you guys to the hi toe love.  Just hilarious how many threads there are on this , how great it is , and how awesome it looks.  When the pm came out it was " man that's ugly yardda yadda yadda"! Tm reproduces it and it's " awesome from sand , and sooooo much better than pm from grass ".  Lol.  From grass !

No doubt the hi toe is a great wedge.  Just funny to watch how people's brand perceptions dictate how they like a particular design or look.

Or ya know we dont like rounded leading edges, offset and gooseneck hosels like the PM Grind has and the High toe doesnt

May want to checkout the post above. The retail hi toe will be exactly like the pm.  Round leading edge. Which makes the ď goose neck ď offset appearance ...going to need the tour card for the one pictured.that one is DJs hand ground flat leading edge example.

I guess the "reporting" that the post above is true, got any source to this "reporting"?

I don't have any "source" or "insider info" on what the retail version would look like, but ALL the Hi-Toe wedges I've tried during the Kingdom trip has rounded leading edge and it does have that "offset" look. Like I said earlier, once you get over the look, it does perform!

That is a much different leading edge then the Tour version Rose, DJ, and Rory are using.

Looks identical to the PM Grind.

It looks similar for sure, but not identical to me.  Kind of like 2 verison of Ping irons, 716 and 718 mb/cb...similar, but not identical.

Why did tmag have to mess with the tour design? I'm sure it's for performance reasons, but if people won't use it because of looks, it doesn't really matter...
