Fairway wood tipping

For those that play in club building question for you.  Juniors are a bit different as they carry different sets than adults. My daughter only carries one fairway wood, and normally hits it off the tee more than the deck.  If I judge by loft its a 7 wood but would you tip it like a 7 wood or more like a 3 wood?

Are you looking to tip it so that it plays stiffer than the rating on the shaft or do you just want it to be shorter?  Most aftermarket shafts will have trimming instructions online.  If it's a length issue you're trying to resolve you'd want to butt trim around an inch for a 7 wood from the driver shaft length.
