I know the title is kind of harsh...but you get the idea.

My vote goes for Danny Willett. I've heard literally nothing about him since winning the Masters.

So a Hall of Fame golfer with 51 career wins, 3 majors, great Ryder Cup player, multiple time PGA Tour player of the year, multiple time PGA Tour leading money winner and multiple time Vardon Trophy all taking place during the big 3 era of Jack, Gary and Arnold is considered to be one of the "worst" players to win a major because of the venue? Major fail.  :fool:

Mungo Park. Shot a final round 84 to win the Open in 1874 and won f*ck-all thereafter - Zero European Tour wins. Zero PGA tour wins. Never made the Fed-Ex playoffs. In fact, never even made a cut stateside.

.........oh and he only averaged 290 off the tee making him the second shortest hitter in history to win an major, with only Jordan Speith averaging less.

That should kill two threads with one stone :stop:

Worst poster to ever start yet another redundant thread about worst ever major winners?

My vote goes to the OP. I'd heard literally nothing about him before his unimaginative contribution to this topic.

Always Europeans isn't it? Willett worst major winner and Rahm will be worst number 1. Yet Shaun Micheel and Tom Lehman are just fine and dandy.

Tom Lehman had a great career reached number one for a day and half right before Tiger took over for a decade.

He was a very good player obviously but he was 38 and had only won 4 times on the main Tours in his career. Rahm has already won 4 times and he's only 23. Don't want to sidetracked with Rahm again but at least if he became World Number 1, he'd be likely to improve and become a dominant player whereas Lehman was like Matt Kuchar becoming World No 1 for a week.

Shaun Micheel meets my definition by far. I rate it by wins only, I donít know how much money he won.

I hope the Fred Couples post was a joke. Guy had an incredible career.
