Woke up to watch the final round (Monday morning in Japan 'round 6am). Of course the first thing I see is a slow mo break down of some amateur's swing with a chicken wing finish. Oh, and he's leading the tournament. Cinderella story, right there.

I hope everybody got to pay attention to Ted Potter's am partner going through his ridiculous putting routine, while holding up TP, only to putt the ball off the green on 18.  What a waste of everybody's time.  That's how stupid it appears to those waiting behind those who insist on this kind of slow play/BS.  Nobody short of professional golfers should be spending more than 10 seconds lining up a putt after the reading is done.  Hit the freakin' ball!

Yes, and half of that time was spent lining up the stripe on his ball.  I hate playing with golfers who use a stripe to line up.  They are almost always the slowest players on the course.

with you on this one.  I deliberately line my ball up with nothing but white staring back at me.

I agree; that stripe deal should be illegal. it's a waste of time and really doesn't work

I use it, but only as a general guide. I don't fidget with it and try to make it exact because I know speed is the most important aspect of putting. Line doesn't do me any good if the speed is off.

Actually I though the tournament was boring as hell to watch on tv which is too bad considering PB is such a jewel.
I'm sure it's probably a big money maker but in honesty it's probably past time to demote the pro am as a strictly Wednesday even prior to the actual tournament.

"I don't agree 100% with your analysis.  Yes, it's nice to hole out, which I did twice during last weeks game, but didn't need either to win those holes or the match.   All that was needed was a tap in to win each hole.  Of course, I was aiming from 20yds and 15yds with the intent to put the ball in the hole, but the expectation was tap-ins."
